riding near Fort Myers, FL

We figure we'll be doing most riding on the bay/gulf, but anyone know of freshwater areas good for riding in the Ft. Myers/ Naples area of Florida? We're moving early October. Thanks!

Caloosahatchi river towards the locks.

Thanks John! What do you know about the smaller rivers in the area? Or is Caloosahatchee our best bet?

Ron, I don't know of any other rivers in the area. I grew up as a kid in Ft. Myers but really didn't get into skiing until I moved to Tampa to go to college. The rest of the water is brackish river as you get closer to the gulf. There may be some lakes, probably man made. I moved away in 1975.

Yeah, I guess my best bet would be to get to know someone at Miromar Lakes in Estero/Bonita Springs. That place looks pretty sweet...
