Jon, you bet! I've been itching to take the boat out - she's all ready to go.
I did get to make a spur of the moment trip up to the cable park and had a blast. Mike was awesome and let me borrow his Omega to try it out. I really need to upgrade and am planning on looking up Jaime to see what kind of packages he has to offer.
Have you got to go out yet? The water level around here is dangerously low, from what I've heard.

At Fort Scott the water is low but I would not call it dangerous. Plus we got 3 inches of rain so far this week and that will help a lot. We went Easter Sunday, it was in the 80s that day. I dont have a water temp guage on my boat but all we wore was trunks and it was bearable while the sun was out. I met Jamie at the boat show. He has all the liquid force stuff and really knows what he is talking about.

Hey Mark, How is the riding at longview? I am moving that direction soon, I ride at Hillsdale now. How much is it for a slip there? That would be amazing to ride every night without any hassle.
Old     (dtb)      Join Date: May 2002       04-28-2006, 4:57 AM Reply
Mark, I try to ride during the week whenever possible. I'd like to meet you guys at Longview some time.
Old     (mofreestyle)      Join Date: Jan 2006       04-28-2006, 7:36 AM Reply
Hey guys. We'll definitely get hooked up. We can get some good sessions in. I have about 4 or 5 guys I ride with regularly. I'll be finishing up with my finals next week then I will be home.

The riding at Longview is pretty good on the weekdays wouldn't even try on the weekends plus we just go elsewhere. Not a big lake by any means but it's not too busy just depends. A slip is around $850 a year but there hard ass hell to get. They use a lottery system...hard to explain. We're actually in the process of getting a new boat right now.

we arnt open on sundays. our grand opening is saturday even though we have been open for three weeks. ok about the pros you cant hold me to this because we arnt for sure yet but... harf, adkison, soven, sanders, sharpe, webb, murray, grubb, lyman, malinoski, and were working on the rest of the hyperlite crew and the rest of the cwb crew. the comp is may 20th on the river but i think they are getting here on the 17th. the marine world crew will ride with them for the first 2 days they are here at go lake (private marine world lake) but i think the night before the comp they will all be at go lake for a party. we have had a lot of people coming in asking about jobs and im pretty sure theyre not hireing til they see how summer goes because i just got the only "open" job and now the want to see if we can manage with the staff we have.

Hey bryce i heard you guys are gonna have some great deals on boards on your grand opening, is that true. I read in the paper that you will be selling some boards starting at $25. I was wondering if that was true or is that just a mis print.
thanks
Old     (macanudo247)      Join Date: Apr 2006       04-30-2006, 11:34 AM Reply
well i think maybe some of the old boards yes. theyre like 2003s but im not sure about $25. So yeah a lot of the boards will be pretty cheap and hopefully our new order of cwbs will be in by then.
Old     (wake21)      Join Date: Feb 2005       04-30-2006, 6:50 PM Reply
i didnt know you guys switched to cwb i thought they only sold hyperlite, are you guys still selling hyperlites. And ya i figured the $25 thing was a mistake.

Patrick, we are still selling hyperlite for the time being. We just also started selling cwb though. With hyperlite out-sourcing all their manufacturing and pouring inventory into places like overtons we werent to thrilled with them. So now we are switching to cwb and than "square one, radar line". So yes right now we are still selling them but sometime over the summer we'll have a big hyperlite sale and switch completely to cwb.

Hey Griff are you ever going to be around wichita? And even if you arnt what lakes do you ride, I'd love the opportunity to get behind one of those boats.

Hey Griff,

Just wanted to thank you for taking up another boat line in KC. I was curious where you are selling your boats and if you will do demos for people to get more information on your boat. I have seen a lot of write up on it and your advertising has been very aggressive. I was wondering what you ideas are for local exposure and for national exposure. Please let me know.

As of now we don't have a dealer in the KC area. Not sure if I'll get one set up this year or not. Advertising is aggressive and marketing this summer will be agressive as well. Probably only 2 or 3 dealers in the entire Midwest this year 'cause we don't want to rush into things and outsell quallity production ability, thus giving Epic a bad wrap. As for the lakes I ride, I do not discriminate . We've hit up Clinton in Lawrence and Longview east of town and that's it for now. I'll have my demo boat next week so let me know where you all will be and I'll head that way. As for Wichita, my grandparents live there so I can always warrant a trip down that way. I'd love to find a dealer there to check out the boat and get some guys behind it.
I'm currently working with Sitzmark Sports in Overland Park and LF to get a demo or clinic set up and will keep you all posted. I think that answers most questions. Feel free to contact me anytime. PEACE!!!!!!!!!

Let's do it. I'll let you know when I get my boat here for sure and we'll find a day or two coming up to get together. Find some friends, get the boys at MW and we'll hit the water.

I'm looking at my options on boats in KS - could someone tell me what kind of sales tax I will be paying, registration, and licensing fees for ks, etc?

I have not purchased a boat - but will be soon hopefully. Please detail any info if I were to purchase the boat in MO but actually live in KS (sales tax). I just want to make sure I dont get nailed with a 2000 dollar bill for registration.

I'm in OP kansas (johnson county) btw.
Thanks.
