load the clip, then look for the icon that looks like a italisized clip. it is basically a sideways looking clip with lines behind it like it is moving. then you basically type in the percent to speed it up or slow it down. put a negative sign in front of it, if you want it to move backwards.

when i get to work tommorrow, i will be more precise. i am on the road 90% of the time with my new job.

email me if you want better instructions over the phone. i hate typing.

how do you export video from avid so it actually works correctly? i've been trying to export for the web but i cant get it compressed enough through avid to be under 20mb. then when it does export, compressed or uncompressed, it looks like it runs at 6fps even after changing the frame rate in the export settings... can someone give me a step by step for exporting for the web through avid?

i wish i could be better help, but I only export at ultra high quality(1:1, same as source).

i would recommend exporting it at a high quality, then use QT to compress it. its basically the same thing that Avid does but it can be better.
