aaron-

You need a DVD Authoring program. I use DVDit. I edit right now with Premier and it has it on it but I got the full software from a friend. This software program alows you to create menus and sub-menus. You can't just send your video to a dvd burner and burn it to dvd, it HAS TO BE Authored. I just delt with this situation not long ago. some are better than others. You can probably download a free version but it will be very, very BASIC! I am assuming you have a PC but here is an great example/tutorial from Apple for the Mac-http://www.apple.com/dvdstudiopro/quicktour/. Software can be very expensive. I picked mine up from my friend for free.

Good Luck!

I too have Windows Movie Maker. I'm not trying to burn it to DVD I just want to make the darn file smaller! A 6 minute video can be as big as 100 mb or more. How do people get their video clips small enough to post on websites or e-mail them?

I don't know much about video making other than what I have figured out on Movie Maker but trial and error. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Renee - check out my "how to" - by using these settings your 6 min video will be reduced to 15-20 mb's..

You will need to edit your movie first and then export it from Movie Maker as an .avi. run it through these steps and viola..

http://www.dpcfilms.com/HowTo/articles/CompressingVideos/index.asp

Movie Maker does have an easy "export to web" function, but the results are ok..
