seems like you could easily wire in an inverter, and have a much lower draw system if it ran on 110v at 60hz? and would prob cost alot less money? anybody tried running this type in there boat?

My amp draws
8.9W Standby
130W Idle,
1,480W Max. (7 channels driven)

I doubt the inverter can hold the current requirements to run the system consistently.

Stereo's run on watts.

Volts X Amps = watts

You will be trading volts for amps, home gear steps the voltage down to the amplifier, car gear steps the voltage up to the amplifier.

The end result with running home gear in a boat is at least one power hungry conversion device, stick with car gear.

You can get a healthy shock from 110volt when you are dripping wet in a boat

was just curios, we are actually looking to do the same ting in our toy hauler as it will cost alot less and since i already run a 3000w inverter and a 4500w genset not a big issue, just thought id broach the idea to see what the audio gurus thoughts where. since i obviously didnt think of everything.
