Does anyone know where I can get wood grain plastic or metal sheets? I want to make a switch panel for my boat that could match the dash, but don't have a clue where to look. I saw the carbon fiber looking material on one of these threads, but I would like to match it up to my dash. I made one out of wood and covered it with vinyl to match, but the piece curves and the vinyl doesn't lay smooth. Any help would be appreciated.

Formica

Nevamar

Abet Laminati

These guys supply architecture firms and I also know photographers who use them for table top backgrounds. They usually come in 4'x 8' sheets. I don't know all the retail ins and outs, it probably changes by manufacturer. I have heard stories that if you call them they may send you a free sample.
Good luck!

Do a search on ebay for " wood dash kit" There are a few guys who sell kits for all kinds of cars, and they cut them themselves. Therefore you can contact them direct and see what they would charge for just a plain sheet of the material. I am sure they will help you out.
