5.0 liter engine? That might be a little weak if you weight it down. I'd get the Moomba.

i would go with the mobius...but seems a bit high.....alot more options that you will eventually want with the SAN if that is what you buy...ballast is #1 and alot of other things...plus u save 4k on the mobius compared to paying 4k more and then atleast 1-2k on the SAN that the mobius already has....thats a swing of possibly 10k...but if money is not a factor..do what u want to do

I also ask...are you sure its 33K for a brand new nautique? Any brand new 2003 or 04 nautique for 33k with even basic options sounds like a good deal.

Also - SAN = Super Air Nautique, which is different than a ski nautique 206....fairly big price and performance diffrances. Probably could not buy a new SAN for anything less than 45K I would guess.

You would probably want to add the tower to the 206....typically costs about 2100 to 2500 to add later and you would need to sack it up to get a large wake.

Quality wise the nautique will be outstanding.

Only problem with the nautique is you said it had a 5.0 in it. Not much engine if your going to weight it. A new SAN "Super Air Nautique" will run over 50K.

You might want to wait a while longer, Tige' is coming out with their new Switch lineup in a month or two. They will have a V-Drive, with 5.7 liter engine, Tower, Bimini, etc. for around $35K.

I own a Moby, and I'd still go with the Nautique.

The Mobius is a nice boat, but not in the same class as the Nautique as far as overall quality.

Moomba-Honda
Nautique-Porsche

BTW,
Don't listen to Jonathan. Anyone who would buy a lime green boat clearly has impaired judgment skills.

Gotta agree cliff. I've had 2 CC's and both were/are excellent. Building boats gave me a good perspective on quality and you can't go wrong w/CC.
Todd, You'll love the wake for skiing and can add a bag/pump in the back and a pole for about $600 for the wife.
5.0 will handle the job, barely. Don't know how big you are but it will grunt when pulling someone 200+ outta deep water skiing with a couple people in it. Spend a couple extra and go up to the 5.8 HO. Well worth the extra cash. Then again, if you're serious, go all the way and get the 206 air.

Jonathon, Formula One Race Cars have to be rebuilt after each race. You're right on target with the comparison.
