How far is this from Monroeville, Al?
Old     (xbones)      Join Date: Mar 2007       06-08-2008, 8:37 AM Reply
Monroeville is about 2 hours from Wetumpka where NWT is held. Probably puts you a good 4.5 hours from S2S at Guntersville.

X-star, loaded out fo sho.

The rail is a 65 foot up down rail tops out around 4 feet tall or so. There will be a 4 foot kicker as well. The up down is legit, I hit it the other day and the kicker will be perfect too.

I'm thinking about bringing my boat to the Spring2Summer. I saw the condos and was wondering if you can pull your boat up to the condos or if there were boat slips? Also, will there be good spots for viewing from the boat?

Can someone please explain exactly what the rules are between intermediate and advanced. Do you have to have at least 3 inverts and spins to compete advance or can you throw more than 3 of each? The divisions are a little unclear to me.
Old     (bamacpa)      Join Date: Aug 2006       06-09-2008, 7:29 PM Reply
Intermediate up to one invert and one spin. Advance up to three inverts and three spins. What's unclear to me is if advance can throw 5s or limited to 3s. I would assume intermediate is limited to 3s.

Well all we have here in lake alfred is robs eight man water weeny that he left behind thanks a lot buddy
Old     (xbones)      Join Date: Mar 2007       06-11-2008, 7:47 AM Reply
Intermediate is limited to 360s.

Advanced can spin beyond 360.

My question will be if you throw a 5 in intermediate will you be bumped to advanced or your 5 reduced to 3 for judging purposes? I have a toe 5 but I'm not even close to being good enough to truly compete in Advanced.

Ohhh and by the way...little man Ben Watts stuck his first tantrum yesterday morning :-) He's also dialed in his HS/BS 3.

Watch out intermediate riders...you might see a 9 year old take the intermediate podium!!!
Old     (bamacpa)      Join Date: Aug 2006       06-11-2008, 8:36 AM Reply
Wow. Congrats to Ben. How many hammers does he have now (tantrum, HS/BS 3, HS/FS 3, backroll, etc.)? Is he going to compete in the kids division or the intermediate division? Either way he should do well. Wish I could be there.
Old    wakejjboard12            06-11-2008, 1:09 PM Reply
i'd bet since he competed in intermediate last year he'd do the same... that kid is legit for sure!

allen,
why aren't you guys coming? missin a good time!

Jessica, Blake is competing in the INT again this year. It's just too much to try to fit in. We really enjoyed the NWT last year and will miss it this year. The S2S sounds like a blast also.

Walt, Bring your boat for sure. You can pull it right up to the condos or put it in a slip. and there will be great viewing from the boat

We will have a riders meeting to clear any of the classifications and answer any questions you might have... These events are made to have a ball full of F-U-N.

and for you this Jdizzle guy, I don't even know you. so you can just shut your mouth when your talking to me. Why would you even have an eight man water weenie in the first place? Totally not my style dude.

Rob... maybe you should give this Jdizzle guy a break... maybe he is into water weenies. you never know... he could be a pro water weenie-er or something.

Rob,

Do you know if the plan is for all the boats to be tied up together in a big chain, or will everybody be basically hanging out on a dock somewhere with the boats docked? Most events end up with a massive boat chain. That's fine, I'm just trying to figure out what equipment to bring to tie up and also tell any stragglers going with me that if they miss the boat out, then they have a problem....
Old     (rob_corum)      Join Date: Apr 2008       06-16-2008, 2:46 PM Reply
vinnyp, i heard you tried to be a pro-waterweenier but couldn't make the cut so now you call youself a "soul-weenier"

Chad, boat chain fo sho. Just let us know at the contest and we'll figure something out for the hangover-exaggerators to get them out on you're boat.

Rob, you are correct. I do suck at the 8 man weenie. i rock on the two man though. I will show you how its goes down at the camp trip over the 4th.
Old     (jdizzle)      Join Date: Sep 2006       06-16-2008, 7:45 PM Reply
i just want to put this eight man water weenie thing to rest... it was Rob's eight man water weenie. matter of fact, it was his second eight man water weenie after he popped his first one. the dude just can't get enough 8 man water weenie in his life. that's why he is no longer welcomed in florida (unless it's to pick up his eight man water weenie he left on our lawn)

So how’s the weekend shapin up in Guntersville, I’m gonna try and get some of the DRock folks up for some riddin and shenanigans. Just wondering if anyone has a guess how the water patrol would be around the event and dealin with the boat chain.

As for the 8 man water weenie, I’d like to see if the Florida guys really do dominate it.

Outlaw riding was very good - semi-finals a little better than finals, both were good. I'm Phil's dad so I remember his runs. Semi's Bat Wing, Skeezer, Tootsie Roll, Moby Dick, Switch HS OA 360, 911, Switch HS OA 720, Fall, Swith TS OA 900.

I don't remember all of Matt's run but he had a KGB, regular and switch Tootsie Rolls, HS and TS 540's,

Rob was a stylish spinning machine 180's, 540's, 360's,and a Bat Wing.

Taylor - really clean runs - 540's, Tootsie, Roll to Revert, scarecrow, tantrum, etc.

Yo, I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone that came. I we never thought so many people would show up. I also want to APOLOGIZE for all the trouble. The event had been planned for several months then the site tried to cancel everything friday morning.

It took the help of many riders and their families to pull it off and they did it. Again, THANK YOU!

We should have many pics on the website within the next couple days.
