Rich, how high is that wake, it looks monstrous but I cant tell if it looks bigger cause the rider is falling. We have a 2004 LSV and when we put 4 250lbs fatsacks in the corner, filled the ballasts and put the wedge in we only ended up with wash. Not to mention that we were so tilted that the boat riders had a hard time staying in their seats!

It is a feaking monster wake....we use 3 fatboy sacs, MLS in only the rear corner and wedge. All other sacs are drained. Don't fill the other 3 tanks.

Using a fisheye lens makes the wake look HUGE, it's all a matter of perspective!

2003 Tige 23V. Custom rectangular sack in the rear, 750 lbs. 1 side sac under left bench seat, 250 lbs. 1 Fat Sac on top of the left bench seat, @ 500 lbs. 1 Fat Sac in the walk thru, @ 500 lbs.
New Hogan/Walker Project board

Hard to see, this is a re-entry after about a foot of air. Speed is set at 10.5. The wake is just short of 3 feet tall from the transition.

Jeff, is that a 23V or a 24V wake? If I remember correctly I thought the 23V was replaced by the 22V in 03?
Old    surfdad            10-19-2004, 10:48 AM Reply
Hey Pierce, it's a 23V. Midway through the 2004 year they replaced the 23V with the 24V. Our Tige measures 23' 10", I think the 24V is 23' 11". Ours still has the spray pockets, the newer 24V hull eliminated those, I do believe. Both have TAPS 2. If you can find the old sales literature for 2003 you can actually see this boat, it was a photo boat...blue and white 23V Limited.

That makes sense now that I think about it. Ya I do have the 03 brochure and I think I remember it being in there. I have a 23V and I love the wake it puts our for surfing. My speed is at 13mph but I am only running around 1000 pounds.

I love the wake for surfing also, it's a bit steep, but very thick...makes it hard to punch through at the lip, so airs are possible. We've found the best wake is when the rear rub rail is just touching the water while at rest. There is a Tige dealer down your way that sells an aftermarket autofill system that is supposed to be killer. I "think" it's called download ballast system.

Yep, thats the Rival Download System. My rub rail is not that low but hope to get it there soon!
