Given that the new MCs are available with a camera mounted on the tower that can be watched on their version of Maliview as well as be recorded to an external memory source, I was wondering if there is an aftermarket application or if Malibu will be offering something similar in the future. I would love to be able to watch all of our sets on Maliview and then download them. I read that there are talks that the Maliview update will be coming soon and will have GPS charting... Hopefully they will have a tower cam application too! Thanks for any help or insight.

Bigshow damn him for asking a question, he must be up to something. Malibu doesn't need to market on wakeworld, they are the official boat remember.

I am sure that they are not inventing the software to run. There is sure to be a hack out there to do everything you want. Probably even a whole new software program that you can install on the hardware. Might take some investigating to see who they are getting everything from, but the internet is a powerful thing.

My only affiliation with Malibu is my 09 VLX.... I simply would like to have a tower mounted camera to record sets so my buddies and I can work on improving... How would this be marketing anyway, given that I have pointed out something that Mastercraft has over Malibu?

I think he was peeved by your "mastercrafts version of malivue" statement. It's winter and every one seems edgy right now, I know I could use a quick tow right about now.

Im planning on doing a forward Night Vision cammera on my boat and a Rear facing cammera. I havent heard or seen the Maliview one but if the Bu dosen't have the ability to do it it would be a pretty easy conversion if it has a dash mounted LCD. Does anyone have it or has pick's of the cam's they use? Im looking for a cammera

This is the system MC is running. http://mastercraftbydesign.com/index_509.htm

My guess is that once you find the input for the LCD you should be able to wire almost any camera in.

The "Tige Touch" has multiple A/V inputs and a USB port for exactly that. I would guess that the Bu-view will do what you want.

Hey Grant we have done a few Cameras on the tower this year for the Maliview and some regular screens just use a a normal bullet camera mounted into your existing box. It would not be hard at all to wire for your normal screen and for night vision use the flir camera. It is what they used on the Cadillacs for their heads up displays but easy to wire into a screen. Its pricey and it may take a little while to get because they also make alot of the night vision stuff for the military now.

I used the flir for night vision because it was the only one I could find that actually had any real use, of course i didnt have to pay the bill thats why I don't have one on my own boat.....most of the cheaper ones just magnified the ambient light from the moon or stars and that didn't do much.

Sorry, I see two posts and a marketing question and my suspicions go up.

We've been using on board video equipment for a ship to shore video board cast for several wakesurf championships. We’ve been using our set up since 2006. Last year and this year we’ve even shipped the system to other wakesurf events.
