Jake the Snake,
I just found out that there is a bunch of TROUSER TROUT biting out at Zorinski Lake. Not sure what kinda bait you will need but, Im sure you can pull out your rod and cast your line into the MENS bathroom and you should get a couple of bites !! lol

I am in Lincoln, and would love to hook up with some new people to ride with. I hit up branched oak and blue stem mainly, or pawnee if it doesn't have toxic algea growing.

Where are you going to school and when do you get out Mark? It is so cold right now, it sucks. But ya I have been itching to go too, I just started working out to get into at least a little bit of shape before the summer starts.

Hey Eric,
That's a pretty good one, especially coming from a guy with no rod to cast at all! Must have taken you 3 hours and Jon to come up with that one!!!

You guys are little harsh on each other. Funny, but harsh.

For you guys here in Lincoln, I am getting antsy to get on the water now that it's starting to warm up. You are more then welcome to come out with me anytime once I get the boat out...wont be long now.

We'll be on branched oak in a couple hours, I'll let you guys know how it went when I get back

As for the fishing, the Walleye are really going right now after dark on the dam

Keeler - I'm pretty sure I'll be at beaver tomorrow, I may have to test out your new wake machine. I'll be out with Jeff

Ya I would really like to know how the water temp is. It certainly was massive windy today.

Super windy today, but we were able to find some nice water. It was around 48.5 and of course varried, but that's what it was where we were riding. I've got some pics, I'll post them up sometime soon.

Jesse - Sorry I didn't call until late last night.

Luke, I am looking at another X-Star from Cope in Washington. Cope is getting rid of their MC boats at costs right now because they are parting ways.

To be honest with you, I was thinking about getting the X-35 next year but the deals they have right now are too good to pass up. They don't have X-35s so I am going with an X-Star.

I just need to sell my boat first and then I am off on a road trip. I actually might just go out and buy The X-Star first and just sit on my boat until it sells.

I have 2 people that are really interested in it, they just need to sell their boats first. One of them is in Oregon and it would work out nice if he bought my boat. I could then just drop mine off to him and then pick up the new one.

Who nows??? Maybe I will get the X-Star this year and trade for the 35 next...

OK, here goes.
Although the wind beat us to death, Pete still managed to kill it. I got rocked a couple times, and got back in the boat. I'll be feeling those for the next week. Anyway, here's some shots from this weekend and my feeble attempt at a couple sequence shots.

It's Jeff's Centurion, the Picture of Pete next to the wake is at 80' and 25MPH. We were sporting around 2K in water, plus 9 in the boat. It was gigantic

I just got a Canon 40D which will take 6.5 shots/second. Then I just downsized and played in photoshop. It's not that tough, and pretty fun to do. If you want some done, take me out, I'll take some and edit them for ya!

Once I get the boat out I will let you know.

Eric, I don't think I had any voice mails, but I am not the most technological person around. I will call you tomorrow. Thanks again for being patient with me and helping me out with all my questions, you are the man...

I am guessing that no one is going out over the next couple of days, but what about later during the week? They are talking 70s towards the end. If it doesn't get too windy, it shouldn't be to bad. I am thinking about getting out to Pawnee or Branched Oak if the wind holds off.

Ya, the weather just relapsed into winter. I am trying to finish stuff up with classes before graduation, so I doubt I will make it out this next week.
Old     (shawnk)      Join Date: Jan 2005       04-12-2008, 10:08 AM Reply
Well, the bright side to the crappy weather is that it gave me enough time to finish up my Fly High System. More pics here; http://www.lockituponline.com/08-x-star-fly-high/index.htm
But I agree, it is getting old.

Maybe I can convince someone to work for me and make a week of it....

Shawn, how long did the install take on that? I am thinking about doing the same thing to mine. Was it difficult to do?

Eric, can I get the fly high upgrade from you and just have it shipped to me? I think I am going to just do some upgrades to my boat this year and then try and get into something different next year. I think everyone is trying to sell their boats and it is making it difficult to get rid of mine. I have had some say that they are interested in mine, but they need to get rid of theirs first.

If you can do that I will just do the install myself. Let me know about the wetsounds deal also. I want to upgrade my tower speakers and would love to get some through you if you end up selling them.
Old     (shawnk)      Join Date: Jan 2005       04-13-2008, 10:47 AM Reply
boardcrazy,
Overall, I think I have about 10 hours or so into it. Of course, I took my time and did a few special things that most people mat not of done. Like notched out the front STBD side wiring panel for the hoses to go through, the gromments in the back, and heatshrinked all the hose clamps so they wouldn't rub of the sacs. But I think a good day or two would be enough.
It was not overally difficult, but you do have to have some boat layout knowledge and planning to do the project. As well as the tools.
I am sure Eric would be able to do that, just give him a call and you guys could work something out.
Ya, just do a few things to yours now, and then you can buy mine next year.

Eric, I will call you on Monday.

A M A Z I N G, the whole lake was glass and we had it to our selves for the little time we were out there.
Jesse - Sorry i didn't call, I was rushed tonight, let me know when you're free for an evening and I'll set something up
Boardcrazy, have you gotten the boat out yet?
Old     (boardcrazy)      Join Date: Oct 2003       04-23-2008, 12:23 AM Reply
Darin, I decided against the new boat when I wasn't getting any interested people in my old one. I still have it on Boat Trader, but I am going to let the add expire. I am going to get mine out soon and add some accessories to it. I am getting excited with the few warm days popping up here and there...I need to re-shingle my house soon so I don't have that hanging over my head.

What lake did you go to?
Old     (dirwoody)      Join Date: Apr 2003       04-23-2008, 3:07 PM Reply
We were on Beaver lake, where Keeler lives and Alberts used to, and it was awesome. If you need help shingling, I've done it a time or two and may be of some assistance if I sont' have anything going on. Otherwise, let me know when you get out and we'll kill it!
Old     (boardcrazy)      Join Date: Oct 2003       04-25-2008, 8:51 PM Reply
Darin, are you in Lincoln or Omaha? My plan is to get the boat out next week, but I don't think I will make it out. Just need to get it ready for the summer.

If you are around when I shingle you could help supervise. My plan is to have my nephews and some of their friends do the labor. It's our rental house, really small, so it shouldn't take too long.

Otherwise, I will let you know when we get ready to head out to the lake...

Hey everyone,

University of Wisconsin student living in Omaha this summer. If anyone could hook me up with some pulls, that'd be great! How far of a drive is the closest rideable lake/river?

Would love to get out this summer. I've been out wakeboarding for 2 years, but I've never consistently been able to get out on the water (been out a total of 10 times or so, over those 2 years), so I'm still a beginner through and through. Would love to meet some other boarders in the area!

Jon, I ride quite a bit at Beaver, it's just south of Plattsmouth, not too far from ya. When are you coming down, or are you already here?
Old     (jrlwisco)      Join Date: Jan 2007       04-29-2008, 9:19 PM Reply
Should get in to town May 16th and ready to ride soon there after. I just have to survive finals. Should be open weekdays and weekends. I don't have a job lined up yet, but that'll hopefully change.

If I do grab some pulls with you, I'll warn you: I'm no good at wakeboarding yet, but I make concussions and wiping out look pretty good! :-)

Really looking forward to getting on the water again! The weather up here in Wisconsin goes from 75 degrees one day and then snow the next. Not cool mother nature, not cool.
