I there any one with any info on these bindings? How tight should the binding laces be done up to keep the heel down? i was looking at either these or murrays???

i went with an xl and i wear a 11.5. they fit great. really tight and suction to my feet. pull the laces tight and you shouldn't have any issues with the heel.

3ds in my mind are the best bindings money can buy! I wont switch as long as hyperlight makes em!

I agree with Riley, except sorry to burst your bubble, but they stopped making them already. Well, they wont be the 3DS bindings in 08.

The 3DS may be going out but from the looks of it there is a replacement displayed at this years Surf Expo.
Seems to be called The Atlas and to me it looks pretty much like the old 3DS we are used to. So there is hope :-)

The atlas is the 3DS. It's re-do would be that it is made by DC now and is suppose to be, like all the new hyperlite boots a lot better made.

i saw them at surf expo. (the new replacements)

They are the 3ds's pretty much, i think they are just rusty's signiture boot now or something, cause the new board was exactly the same as the 3ds board, but called something different.

I wanna see if i can get my hands on a sub 6

Rusty is suppose to have a new board out this spring / early summer.
The sub V board is going to sell for $800.,and the Murray board is the same technology just a little heavier.

Yeah the new "3ds" are called the atlas they have change the checker design to a croc skin kinda imprint, the colours have changed and apparently they have delt with the problems of the toes blowing out possibly why the toe piece of leather.

$800??? How can that be right? Even CWB Platinum boards only MSRP around $650. What's in the '08 Hyperlite boards to almost double their cost from last year's MSRP?

3DS Bindings are great, super comfy, easy to get in and out of, only difference between '06 and '07 is the snake skin material on the inside was changed

i'm ridin the 07's, i dig em. The 07's are a little bit more snug around the foot than the 06's. 07's still going strong, and the 06's were really great too.

Jeff, the Hyperlite line didn't double in price
The new sub V is the only board at that price. It is SUPPER light and is going to be a limited edition board. The Murray is also a little higher but not near as high as the sub V.

sub 6 is made out of carbon and is under six pounds hence the name sub6. It's sick! But good luck getting your hands on one, they only produced 1500.

Riley, the sub 6 has a carbon top sheet. The inside is the Nova core, and a gamma glass body. I could'nt believe how lite it was...even with the boots. unbelievable

it's sooo light! That board with the new murray boots... sick set up!
