21FT garage and 21.6 boat?

Hi I’m looking at a home to buy with 21ft 2 car garage. And wonder if I can fit my boat in and my car. Or one or the other.

is the boat 21.5' or is the trailer that long. If it's the trailer, just get a swing away tongue. Otherwise unless you can build a small extension out the back you are stuck with parking it kitty corner taking up 2 stalls

you're stuck with either getting the boat only in the garage by parking it crooked or extending the garage somehow

With the trailer you are probably looking at 23ft or so if it has a swing-away or close to 26 or 27ft if not. Right?

Interesting, my trailer's tongue swings right at the nose of the boat and the boat hangs off the back of the trailer a bit. The trailer doesn't add any length to the trailer/boat combo.

A friend of mine has a 23' malibu w/ a 21' garage. he blew out the back section of the garage and put a 10x10 storage shed against it. He removed the doors and sealed it to the outside wall. Now his swim platform and the back part of the boat are inside the shed.It looks pretty trick for minimal $$

I'm trying to buy a townhouse I don't think I can do that but sounds like a good idea easy way out

Try removing the swimstep, that'll give you a few feet. Most boats it's just a matter of seconds, removing a couple of cotter pins.

I've seen a house with a small hitch door, under the kitchen sink. Kina funny, but the garage door shuts!

The swimdeck usually isn't included in the boat length, the only way to park it in a single stall is to see if you can extend the garage a couple feet on teh front side. Will be quite expensive, honestly you'd be better off trying to find a house with a deeper garage if it is important to you to have a car and boat in the garage at the same time

Yea, last time I bought a new refrigerator it was a ¼ inch too tall. Ended up with a completely remodeled kitchen.

Turnabout is fair play. I bought a 48x50 pole barn to accommodate the new boat
