I just got my buddies old ipod video, and it has over 100 videos on it which i want to keep. But we listen to totally different music, so i want to delete all his and put mine on.
The problem is, is that he has a MAC computer and i have a PC and when i plug in the ipod to my computer it says "Apple has detected a macintosh ipod. Please restore ipod to PC format."
If i restore it i'll lose everything.
Is there any way to do this without losing the videos?

Matt,

He might be able to move the video content over the the hard drive storage area of the IPOD. I am not sure if this gets blown away when you do the PC conversion so you should also have him drop the vids on a portable drive or flash if they fit.
