OJ Dripless shaft seal that leaks

Is is just me or do you guys always have water in the bilge? I am on my second oj dripless shalf seal and this one has started leaking too. Do these seal leak or is it just OJ?

I don't think their supposed to leak at all. Bummer.

I have the old waxy packing. And yea, it leaks a bit. I bought a new "virtually dripless" Goretex packing & need to try & remove the old packing sometime. Probably waiting till it rains... or winter.

I just put in the new Gortex packing. It does drip a little but I think it will last quite a while. I thought it went in rather easy. The material is totally different, I would say it will last a while. I definitely suggest it.

You're probably burning them because of:
-Bad instalation
-Engine missalignment eating the materials

Anyway there's a replacement ring so you dont have to order the whole thing again.

You know there is also a packing around the rudder too.
