I have some wake design racks and it is a matter of time before they slip. i was thinking about using some of raul's speaker ball mounts and altering the racks to fit on them. the hold my speakers up there very tight and you could do it on the vertical if you had to. think it would work?

Probably better than the WD clamps!! You would have to make a plate to adapt the rack to the clamp.

His speaker clamps halves touch when they are tightened. While this looks nice, it does not allow you to tighten to your tower tubing. I had all my speaker housings rotating and finally drilled and tapped the mounts and my tower to eliminate the movement.

If you use those mounts (epecially for wakeboard racks with a lot of force on them), figure how you are going to prevent them from slipping (either with a pin or drilling and tapping for a bolt).
