Naci is at 31% and dropping about 1.5 inches a day and faster as we loose water. I'm hoping I still have a slip on July 4th.

Last weekend was nice until about 11:00 am, everyone showed up, hit the lake with power turn after power turn and it went to hell in less than an hour.

Naci people, please respect the good water when we have it.
When your rider falls, stop and idle back to your rider.........

If you do not agree, please post a reason why you must turn around at full throttle and then again turning around your fallen rider at full throttle....I've got to know why!!
We are a small group, we can get a handle on this.

Nick, the lake is in great shape! There are some patches of debris, but its not that bad at all. Just gotta pay attention in certain areas. The water is heating up, last weekend I rode in a long sleeve spring at about 10am, it was perfect. I'd say that it is in the mid 60s.

It has been warm the last two weeks and its getting nice out there, this weekend should be awesome!

Thanks for the quick reply. I wish I could head out there this weekend. Unfortunately, my boat is not going to get serviced for another week and a half. The water temp sounds pretty good, considering how cold it has been getting at night up in Salinas. It looks like my first trip of the season won't be until 4/10.

yeah its nice, I trunked it on saturday morning, but wore a full suit the rest of the trip. It was a little chilly, and all the yahoos must have gotten the memo that the lake is filling up!

Anyone want to ride Sunday? We need a third, bunnies welcome!!!

You guys are crazy.....
I've been in a drysuit and its freakin cold...my temp gauge said 61 deg last week.

Seth, dude, when your heading out call me! I don't check into WW very often at the lake, very slow connection.

Saturday morning we are out at about 10:00 am, complete glass. There was only a few other boats out near Oak Shores and they are all doing power turns.
This one boat nearest us is doing them over and over because his rider keeps falling. I yelled towards him while he was stopped to SLOW DOWN YOUR TURN AROUNDS.
He waved back at me so I'm thinking cool that worked..

The guy's rider falls agin right next to us and the driver does this really big turn full throttle and he yells, SPEED UP YOUR TURN AROUNDS!!! His girl friend flips us off.
Red and White older malibu.

So I have this new idea. If we cant get them to stop power turning on our lake, what if we just embarrasse them.
Lets start a thread on the main page called " Douche Bag Power Turners on Nacimiento" and lets start posting close up pictures of them and their boat.

I feel your pain Brent, the problem is, of the hundreds of boats out there ripping power turns, maybe 5 of them have ever visited this site.

I've always said a small flyer that gets handed to everyone at the main marina and is posted at the gas pumps would be more effective. My experience is that people just don't know what they are doing is incorrect in any way. Yelling across the lake never helps, approaching a boat when they are at a stop can help but usually people are defensive. There is no good answer unfortunately. The joys of public waterways...

This happened to us last year at San Antonio. Bout to take a set by the dam and a boat that had recently come into that covish area was about to have a gnarly hangin' ten intense surf set!!!! I politely yelled over and asked if they would cruise out to the main body to surf and they were cool and did.

In your situation I would have cruised right over there and had a little coversation about power turns with them!!!!!

Headed up Friday night, just got a sweet new helmet for some intense tubing super early saturday morning right in front of oak shores. If I see you guys come out ill lead the way to Tables!!! Surfs up!

Seth Dude, I just got a new tube!!
.I'm down for that, thinking about selling my wakeboard and just tubing from here on, we could start a tube team or something.

Just went to San Antonio this weekend. It was windy as hell at night, but during the day it wasn't too bad. Conditions were pretty much great.

Anyone planning on going out this weekend with room for one more? I have finals coming up soon and I'd love to get out on the lake and burn off some extra energy beforehand, and of course there would be some gas money for your trouble.

Memorial weekend was crazy with wild people on Naci.
I can't remember seeing the lake look so rough, there were 2' to 3' rollers coming from every direction all day every day.
Once we finally got to the back of Tablas it was nice and calm with lots of crazy people doing crazy stuff.
Where do they all come from? I'm sure glad its only three times a year.

Went out on Tuesday morning and found my lake again, rode glass all day with my pepes, good times!!

I managed to make it up for Monday and it didn't seem too bad in the morning, but that might have just been first run of the year optimism clouding my vision. Once thetubers came out and the wind picked up though the good water was gone for good.

Hopefully I can make it up again sometime soon and see some of that glass you speak of!

We hit it early Sunday/Monday and got decent water both days. Thankfully the emphasis was placed on delicious beers and great food. Pretty epic weekend at the lake, now everyone needs to go away so we can ride!

Big Heavy,
I saw yous guys in the back of Tablas wakeboarding in the early morning but could not find yous guys in the afternoon...Where did you guys hang?

Brad (afx43),
Im sure one of the locals would have hooked you up with a run or two but would have needed a little more notice. I had a full boat all weekend plus I never once went on line and checked Wake World. Sorry.....

Yo Brent, thanks for coming out with us for a little boat ride, it was good to get to some small wake shredding, haha. That lady finally made it out and proceeded to scare the ba-jesus out of Shawn & I. Hopefully she won't be out on the water too much.

Well, we are heading into another wild weekend where all the crazy people come to our lake and pull god knows what stunts all around us... ARE YOU READY????

I suggest we hit it early and bear the 55 deg air temps.

Where are we going to hang out, memorial day we were fractioned all over the lake?
Lets call someplace the spot, Town Creek, Swamp John?? Doesn't matter to me, somebody take charge. SETH, KEVIN

Hey Seth,
Yes, Remy and I will be there all week. I'm hoping its warmer than TWC is suggesting. The water will be sweet regardless.

I want to get some pics for Nacimiento Wakeboarders on Face Book . E-mail me some of your best shots.

NACI is down to 35% and if the Monterey release schedual stays the same we will end 2010 with the lake at 35%. They claim the dam will back down to 60 CFS on Nov 1 st until next spring. We will be ending the year right about where we started the summer of 2009. With a little rain we should start 2011 with a pretty full lake.

There back.

We have had 11 inches of rain so far, the lake is back up to 54%.

Went out on Sunday, it was awesome...70+ degrees, glass and had the place to ourselves.

Shawn hit his 540 first try of the season, whooop whoop!!

Hi Antonio,
Shawn and Seth went out last weekend, I was stuck with house chores all weekend, bummer!!!
I would say next time go to Face Book and type in "Nacimiento Wakeboarders" in the top search bar.
Post you comments on there and you are more likely to get a quick response.

Sorry
Brent

Can anybody provide some insight on the conditions at Naci? What is the water temp like, is there tons of debris, and how are the launch ramps? Thanks in advance.....
Old     (stephan)      Join Date: Nov 2002       04-11-2011, 10:11 AM Reply
The conditions at Naci are high water conditions. There is a ton of debris, from small sticks to full on trees. The level has not come down so things are still floating about. Look at the web cams, there is crap floating everywhere.

As for launch ramps, most are under water. Heritage and the main marina are launchable and I think Oak Shores you can launch from the road that leads to the East Ramp.

Water temps I think are still pretty cold. It has not been warm lately. Hoping it will start to heat up.

Thanks Stephan. I'm hoping for some warmer weather too, but will probably wait a bit in hopes of the debris to clear out somewhat.
