Super Air 220 is what it will be. Supposedly same great wake with lots more room.
Old    zboomer            03-16-2005, 9:02 AM Reply
Damn, the 210 is already sky-high priced. Can't wait to see the premium this thing brings.

Are they going to keep the 210 hull or do away with it?
Old    air_sv211            03-16-2005, 10:17 AM Reply
They are going to keep the 210. It will not go away.

The 210 will probably be a price point boat like the Malibu V-Rides and what Mastercraft is going to go with the X-2.

It makes me happy that they are finally going to have some good less expensive wakeboats...even though after you add anything worthy onto a vride you're already in the mid 40s...

Our local dealer hinted of a Super Air 220 also. Hopefully it will make up for the lack of storage space in the 210 with the same great wake.

radikal- i would wait...unless the dealer offered me a "KILLER" deal on a 210.

not MC they like to release a new model 2 months after the previous year and then laugh at the buyers that got screwed over.

>> Ok so when do they start to produce them? around august-september or is it like Jan the following year?
Old     (abundiga909)      Join Date: Jan 2005       04-13-2005, 4:24 PM Reply
CC knows all about this models year in advance. Unlike MC, CC keeps their new models secrets until they are let out for this exact reason. They don't want a potential buyer not buying b/c of what someone said online...

But now that the cat's out of the bag, I'll chip in. Though both Jeff Warner and Gary Meloon denied any new model coming out soon when I met with them, I know there will be a new Air 220. I think it will have the rounded end style of the 211 and 226.

I stop by NECC every August, and I am always there the week before they get their first shipments of the new year's model. NECC is one of CC's biggest dealers, and they don't get the new ones til mid-August.

Now to really get on CC's nerves, I heard a rumor that CC will have a pickle-fork or even pitch-fork design in '07. But that is an unconfirmed rumor.
Old     (abundiga909)      Join Date: Jan 2005       04-13-2005, 4:39 PM Reply
Just to clarify, the thing about the pickle-fork bow for CC is just a rumor I heard from some guy online, no one else. I don't totally believe him, but he has proven to be somewhat a reliable source.

When I told Gary Meloon that I heard that CC might do this, he laughed at me, and said it so isn't going to happenu that he didn't even need to say it's incorrect. Then again, he said there won't be a 220 either...

Chances are, we all know that CC probably won't come out with this design.
Old     (laptom)      Join Date: Apr 2002       04-14-2005, 4:53 AM Reply
If the 220 will come, what would be the wish list for the it?

- Not a 211 or 216 style (I like it, but I like the looks of the 210 more)
- Hydrogate like the 211
- More standard ballast with improved valve system (elektric ball valves or something) and under the floor hard tanks
- A bit taller tower (1 or 2 inches)
- Possibillity for 4 sets of Flight Clips (I like the FC very much)
- Arena seating as option
- ZR-6 with shower

This just in, I got an email from someone very high up at CC, and they told me straight out that I was simply incorrect....

It was kinda harsh, but serves me right I guess....

Of course you are proved your own point. They don't want leaks to scare away potential buyers. If they are that concerned with keeping it a RUMOR, it probably is true. NOTE: We have a CC, they make an excellent boat, this is not supposed to sound like I dislike the company. It just seems very possible this is true considering the changing market/competitors models.
Old     (abundiga909)      Join Date: Jan 2005       04-14-2005, 8:10 PM Reply
Brandon I frankly agree with you 100%, but I'm not really "allowed" to. I have good evidence of a 220 and CC just comes along and tells me "no, you're wrong." Frist thing I think is "WTF?". Right now in school I've been learning for years to back up whatever claim I make in a paper. When I have evidence of something, you (CC) cannot claim the opposite w/o any evidence and expect me to believe you! Now, I kept my end of deal by keeping what I knew a secret, but when the news got out, I faced it and figured I might as well let the truth out in hope that it will prevent rumors. CC should do the same and satisfy their customers, or potential customers. I wouldn't be surprised if they lost any for at this point lying to the public. They just make themseleves look like idiots trying to keep a known fact a secret now...

If CC is reading, you are better than this. Sorry your news is out, but you can't deny it forever...

P.S. My family also owns a CC and will always own a CC. I'm not trying to make them look bad, and I support them more than anyone I've ever known. But they just don't have anything to back them up here...

Whewww! man, those words had fire in them. Don't get too bent out of shape AbunDiga...this isn't some sort of scheme to screw the public/customers. At this point, CC trying to keep the secret (if it is one) is just good business. Imagine the huge drops in 210 sales if CC announced the 220 without being able to produce it and offer it to the customer. They may, for all we know, still be testing their new "hardcore" wakeboard boat and don't want to put a date on it's public debut. What happens when they announce they're coming out with a new boat, but when the deadline is here, it's not ready/the kinks aren't worked out. This reflects poorly on their reputation for quality, not to mention warranty costs for things breaking and customer dissatisfaction, all equaling dissaster for a company who's spent so long building their reputation.

All I'm saying is, hold tight...keep your fingers crossed. There's really no one to be mad at in this situation b/c this is just the way of the world we live in:they'll deny it, we keep thinking it's true. I believe it's inevitable that CC will build a competitor for the larger, hardcore wakeboard boat variety (and the 226 doesn't have the hardcore wakeboard stamp of approval) to survive in the changing market, which they will....eventually. But hey, I could be wrong.

Haha, funny how things get misinterpreated all the time on line. I know it may seem as if I'm pissed or something at CC, but really I'm home here kinda cracking up at it. I just try to be serious, sometimes I'm a little too serious, accidently...

CC would be opening themselves up for disaster if they did do that, you are right. But at this point it time, who knows... Maybe it is an '07...

But when a new Air 220 shows up in the '06 catalog, who will be the idiot then?

It could easily produce a worse wake. Narrow and small boats build better wakes (easier to sink), yet boat companies seeking wide and large. Look at the xstar vs the x2.

let assume cc does come out with the 220 for 06', released in ~ July 05'. Do you think the 210 will still be priced as it was in 05' or will the 210 become a price point boat? and if so how long until CC prices the 210 as its price point boat. Heres my problem. I ordered a new 05" 210 loaded, big engine, NVS speakers the works, to be picked up early May. My fear is that cc comes out with the 220 and the 210 goes price point. Now I have a used 05' 210 and someone could buy a new one 06' for less than I paided for my 05' new = I really lose my ass, more than I normally would. I am seriously thinking of losing/eating my 3K deposit thinking I will cut my losses now rather than really pay for it down the line. Also, I still have my 03' X-Star for sale and don't want to purchase a new boat without selling my current boat. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Pretty obvious Big Ed, he's upgrading.....

EJ - I think it will in 06' - 07'.

Big Ed - I have my reasons.. but I was hoping I could unload my X-Star at a fair price.

I think CC and MC sales will suffer as a whole if they don't market a price point boat in the near future. I don't see either company producing a new boat/hull to fulfill this need although possible. It would make sense to market the current 210 and X-2 as a price point boat as they have proven track records and the repective companies have made bundle on the molds/hull. I don't think either company can afford to significantly increase the sales price of new boats over the current costs and expect to sell a fair amount of them without setting the bar of a price point boat. Just a thought.
Old     (deuce)      Join Date: Mar 2002       04-16-2005, 3:41 PM Reply
Because they currently have the ability to sell every boat they produce at the price they want, why look to put a price point boat on the market? Price point to Correct Craft is the SE package. I don't "think" they would consider going with lesser vinyl or change the production process. So why just drop the price of your boats when you sell every one you fact, some would say....cannot keep up with demand. Dealers run out of boats every year, many sell the majority of their production slots at the boat show.

I think that they leave the price point boats to other companies.

Someone tell me what a loaded V-Ride is running? I thought that I heard that it was = to what a VLX was going for pre "price point." I could be wrong on that.....just thought it was what I heard.

Then again....what do I know....

CDM - I wouldn't worry about your deposit. Most states protect you from losing it. Look into it. Worse case tell them they need to finance it at 5% with nothing more than your deposit down or you are walking. They'll give you your cash back

While talking about rumors--the X-2 is also supposed to go away completely to be replaced with a new boat.

Perhaps Correct Craft will do the same thing. If CC no longers sells the 210 model in 2006--those that purchased 2005 210's should still have value in their hulls. If anything--the value of an 2005 210 will stay rock solid if no more 210's are available new from 2006 on.

No idea what CC is planning--but I sure hope it is something exciting. The 226 and 211 didn't do much for me. Of course I don't have grandkids yet--the older grandpa crowd seems to like the new models... About time for CC to step and deliver a little innovation. I'll be very disappointed if the new 220 coming out is just a 210 with a taller tower and the observer clamshell seat changed to something that works for storage.

You should all definitely wait for the new Super Air 220. I received this picture of the prototype's wake from a very credible source. This person indicated that the new boat will come equipped with a new TWC^2 hull and HydroGate Ultra which together allow an incredible wake with only 666 lbs. of ballast.

a! 666 #'s...Ha. Doubt the religious company would settle for the nice odd number of 666. And if they really did, it would even be funnier.

This thread is hilarious, from a purely comedic perpsective. The boat doesn't even exist and you guys want to guess the price. Why don't you go out and ride with all of this free time you have to price guess imaginary boats.

After a week at a camp in Florida, I would have to say I was a big fan of the 226. The wake had a really nice transition and the walkthrough really grew on me. Plenty of storage for what I would use it for, and the seats had nice high backs due to the high waistline on the boat. Unfortunately the price is a little high even if our POA allowed them on our lake.

There appears to be some alteration of the images. Anyone with mild knowledge of photoshop knows the difference. The proposed wake on is clearly blurred and stairstepped, hinting to the liquify tool in photoshop. I'm excited too, but false information is indeed worse than none, in my opinion.

Yeah, it was a joke. 666 lbs. of ballast? Unfortunately, it lacked a powerful key element of my similar "PICTURE OF NEW X-STAR WAKE" thread (from back when all we had seen of the current X-Star were a few press photos), that element being a subject line that made everyone look. In fact, I would have confirmed the hoax earlier but I thought this thread had died.

Anyway, I think I just used copy, paste, transform, and maybe pinch. I made that a long time ago though. I don't know what you mean by "stairstepped" but if you look very carefully, you can probably find some repeated patterns in the trough.
