Go with the 14.25x14 - if you can....

or call OJ prop directly and they'll be able to get the best prop for your boat...

pry not. rule of thumb is DD:3 Vd:4. That's a pretty torquey prop ya got on there. Sounds like a reduction ratio tranny, so maybe you would...

Call up Acme. Best props out there! 3 blades for a DD, 4 blades for a VD. Why you may ask? 4 blades gives you more transom lift which you need for a VD because the engine is in the back. A 4 blade on a DD will create more air pockets in the water causing you to loose power. The 3 blade will cut super smooth through the water giving you better bite and more power for your hole shot. Call up Acme, tell them what boat and engine you have, and how much weight you will be putting in it. They will get you the correct prop for your boat.

You likely have a good prop for your boat. You can go to a 913 Acme - 13X10.5 LH. That will drop you about 100 rpm and give you better hole shot with ballast. It is a very popular prop for the older dd ski boat that are used for wakeboarding. I sell about 15 a year.

i wouldnt reprop. I just dropped 4bills on a Acme 913. But am coming from a 4 blade 13x13.

What i would suggest is keep your blade, 3 is good for DD, but just take it to your local guy and re-pitch it. the 913 is a 10.50 pitch, this is something that a prop guy could do for about $50.
