I am continuing my search for a boat and I looked at the Z1 last night. Tige makes a claim that the Z1 hull is more designed for surfing and it produces a good surf wake. I currently own an 02 Tige 22 IR and the surf wake is ok. I want a longer and stronger wake. I also want it to be good for wakeboarding which I do 50% of the time.

Does anyone has real experience with this boat and how do you like it? How is it set up?

Head over to Tigeowners.com, there are quite a few Z1 owners that are surfing them and it does throw a pretty nice surf wave! I think you would be better off with a 22ve or 24ve personally but the Z1 is pretty nice!

I would put the Z1 surf wake up against any boat out there, including a 22Ve. IMO, the best surf wake out of the box. I surfed one when the first hit the lot with no ballast, juts a driver and 1 passenger. The wake was great, lots of push and a decent pocket. After filing the factory port tank and bow sac, we tossed a 400lb sac on top and the wake was huge, even up to 12mph.
