Not trying to horn in on anyones "secret spot" or anything, but is the McCloud Arm good for riding on weekends, or does is get too busy like most lakes? I am thinking about the early June time frame.

There are some good spots on the McCloud, but you have to go up quite a ways. It is hit or miss, but your best bet is Hirtz Bay and above. Mornings and afternoons are usually good and the scenery (mountains) is better than other parts of the lake. Freeway cove is a great spot when the water is high and there arn't boats doing power turns - It is right by Holiday Harbor.

McCloud arme is way too busy. Too many rednecks pulling tubes and bass boats with beer gut drivers. I'd recommend Lake Mendocino instead.
