My wife and I are taking a 13 week assignment in Denver. I am just trying to find out what the wakeboarding seen is like there. How early can you start riding? What lakes should I be looking at? Do I need to bring my boat or is there a large enough group of wakeboarders that we can be professional thirds? Thank for any and all responses!

If you dont mind the cold you can probably get out by early April. As far as public lakes in Denver... there is not much to pick from... either Cherry Creek or Chatfield. There are some decent lakes within about an hour and a half though. And the wakeboarding scene is pretty good... I'm sure you'd have no trouble finding a tow. Keep your eyes open for the Mile High Meet and Greet coming up in May... its a gathering of all the local wakeboarders.

Thanks for the info!! Are there any good local wakeboard shops I can stop into to hopefully find some people to third with?

Derek- When will you be in Denver? Like Russell said, there is the annual MileHigh Meet & Greet coming up May 10th. It's an event for everyone who wakeboards to get together, meet each other, swap phone numbers and find others to ride with. Keep an eye out here on WW or drop me an email and I'll keep you up on what's going on with the event as we get closer.

Your best bet in the way of a shop to go to is Tommy's.
