How to replace knob on Hyperlite Murray bindings?

I have the '04 Murray bindings, actually still called the Temets, that broke the knob you use to tighten the cable. My local shop doesn't know jack, and I don't know how to fix it. I have a spare knob. Anyone? Thanks.

hold it tight and turn to the left.. it should come out ... then use the alan head and remove the cable... it takes some force to get it out

its called a boa ,call hyperlite and get a boa kit...talk to eric in customer service....dont listen to ryan he dont know jack...and u will break ur boas if u do that

As far as I know all the BOA's have three small allen screws. One allen is in the center of the knob. Once the allen is removed the knob slides right off the shaft. Then you can access the two other allens that hold the cables to the spool. Too bad you are not closer because I have several sets. If you are in the Bay Area look me up. Also any reputable shop that sells Hyperlite should have cables,screws, and the tiny allen wrench either individually or in a kit.

I actually am in the bay area right now, a little south of Concord. The knob is gone, completely broken off, but the only allen screw I see is in the center. When I turn that it just tightens up the spool, I can't seem to get it to come off. Thanks for the help so far everyone.

wow im so glad that a smart ass is talking on here.. hmm lets see i did have those bindings and mine broke.. woo hyperlite.. they come with a kit to repair them if they do break and thats how i fixed them... r jizz think before you speak.. i was only giving advice i didnt point a gun to his head..

what shop were you going to? i work at the bako copelands and they have the stuff to fix it. look through either a murray or byerly box and it will have that little tool you need to fix them, along with some directions on how to fix them. the guys there don't know much on how to fix anything wakeboarding wise though...kinda sux.

You are going to have to hold the shaft with something as to not damage the shaft when removing the screw. Now I have everything you probably need except the knob itself. If you can find a knob let me know I'm sure we can get it fixed. I'm kinda handy. Let me know.
