What do you mean by "Floating" camp site? Is it just a raft with some stuff on it?

Not a bad deal. I haven't been out on them, but was planning a trip this summer to check out Oroville and figured those would be the best place to camp.

Here is some info about the floating campsites-

Here is a really good map of the lake-

Good luck, I was going through the openings for dates. NOT MUCH, if anything for a weekend.

In order to get the dates you want, you basically have to book out a year in advance.

For summer weekends, the reservation fill in about an hour after they open up...in seven months advance! I used to hit them up every summer and luckily got a weekend this year. After looking at the above map, 9 & 10 are my favorite, 5, 6 and 7 are a good second. 8 sucks as it gets blown out plus there is a bunch of traffic all day, 3 & 4 are exposed to the wind if it picks up and 1 & 2 are a hike to the south and middle fork to ride, unless you like the damn area, otherwise it is a boat ride for find good water.

Now of course if you can find open dates that work for you an any site, JUMP ON IT!
