So I tried wakesurfing last year a couple times. Unfortunately for me I broke my collarbone pretty bad snowboarding. Still rehabing the shoulder after surgery. I bought a Hyperlite Broadcast 5-6 recently and some of my friends have been riding. I think all of them are hooked almost instantly. I'm hooked and I haven't been surfing or wakeboarding since last year because of my arm. So now on to my question.

I have a 05 Supreme V220. It has the 2 stock rear ballast tanks. What extra ballast and where to get most and best shape out of my boat? I've heard that you can't ride goofy toe side on the starboard side. Is this true? Just because of the prop rotation? Or is it just that the wave is better on the port side?

I am already pumped to start surfing again just off the "stoke" all my friends are getting. I'm sure I can get a better wave from my boat with all my WW's help. Thanks.

Here's the most recent x-rays just for your viewing pleasure.Upload

Sorry for the delay in responding. You should be able to ride both sides on any boat. The prop rotation will make one side a bit better than the other. Most of the weight will need to be in the back corner on the side you ride on. Some boats need weight forward also. Maybe others can help with your specific boat, as far as exactly how much weight where. Once you get it dialed in you to will feel the stoke when you are surfing.

Anybody else got any suggestions.

I'm not familiar with that boat, but if you have space in the back corner (on the seat, in the locker, etc.) grab yourself a fatsac and tsunami pump to help dial the wake in. Get some heavier friends and bring them along. Good luck getting better!
