I saw these "Bullet" ropes on ebay and was wondering if anyone has bought them or tried them. The prices are very cheap, and by the looks of them they look like the accurate ropes. I need a new good backup rope, but Im afraid these might be POS.

I bought one as a back up haven't used it but it looks just like my a-line except it dosen't have the length markings. I only paid $32 for it so it was worth it

I have one that looks the same except has a red coating. It works good, doesnt tangle and seems to be wearing well.

I wouldn't suggest it. I personally hate those ropes... They seem like the best ever once you own one (and yes, I have owned a few), until you leave them out in the sun and the plastic shrinks or gathers up... then they just suck. and hurt when the rope goes through your hands in the water.

They are also very easy to wrap up, until you get to the extensions... then they become a gong show, worse than just a normal non-coated rope.

What about the non-plastic coated ones? Are they any good?

The Viper line from Straight Line kicks ass, that is what I am currently using. I hate plastic coated ropes.

I have one and so do a few buddies. I'd say it works just like the accurate, and at that price it is a bargain . . .

I have one. Its ok for the price, but it tangles like an old school rope. The coating isnt very thick.

I bought a Bullet rope and handle last year and they both started falling apart within a month. They were cheap, but just not worth it for me. I'm sticking with the more expensive brands.

Hmm fall apart? i bought a red bulletcoated rope for 39.99 in Early spring and have used it on every outing this year and when i bring it on others boats the whole boat uses it all day ..so all summer 100+ pulls behind it in the hot texas sun and it still looks great and no problems yet..

not sure on the handles but they look cheap and flimsy but the ropes are great..

Mark, why did you not return the rope and handle if it fell apart in one month? I have seen the seller post a few times on our forum, and he seemed like he would take care of any issues.

I bought the same as Byrd at the beginning of last year. Rope has held up very well. Just now starting to show signs of age. It does tangle once in awhile though.

I have the red rope and handle. I haven't had any problems after a season's use. I wished the handle didn't have the cheater grip handle on it since I don't use it, but other than that I have no complaint.

Thanks for the great reviews. We are trying to keep the sport affordable. We had dealer inquiries this year, and the number one objection was how cheap our ropes were compared to other brands. The dealers were worried that the bigger brands would get upset and stop servicing the account if my products were in the store.

Mark,

I would like to know more about what happened to your rope and handle. Maybe I can help!

Bill,

I know you ride a lot, so I'm glad to hear you are still happy with the rope. Now for handles! I have some new carbon handles coming in soon that I think you will be completely satisfied with. Billy Garcia in Austin should be testing some of our new handles by mid Oct.

Everyone else:

I'm closing out the following 75' Coated Rope with 15" EVA handle for $75.00 shipped. Great deal! Email me if you want one.

Thanks,

Ken Land
