What are your thoughts & ideas on the perfect Wakesurfing Event/Day??

What would you want to see, experience, feel??

If you already have a board, what would you rather win in competitions? What other sports or companies/products could be complimentary to wakesurfing?

Hopefully this thread will generate a free-flow of ideas from manufacturers, riders, spectators, and event coordinators in order to improve and sustain Wakesurfing events and Gatherings in general. Please, no criticism, there are no dumb ideas. This is just open brainstorming.

Suggest anything YOU WANT and help design customized events. Event coordinators can pick and choose which ideas they would like to use and not use... which means every idea is good for its potential.

The perfect event would have me winning.

Cold hard cash has been the best prize since the dawn of prizes. Prize boards are cool though. Even if you don't ride it, it makes a nice trophy. Additional items? Hmmmm...Fat Sacs, board bag, back pack, six pack.

A live DJ would be cool.

Right on. What if everybody won? If every rider won a prize?

Cash works... the universal reward. And i hadn't even thought about fat sacs! What's one of the few things every wakesurfer needs for a good wave? weight.

Good ideas. thanks

we had a perfect wakesurfing event at last years Supra/Moomba Owners Reunion (held every year in Clermont, Fl).

Here is my boat ready to be towed down to the ramp to go to the event:

and here are some of the donated boards that were raffled off:

Nice rides (boat and the boards). I really enjoy riding the AWakeSurf models and i can't wait till the new Area53 stuff comes out. It looks like you guys had a lot of fun out there with Watersports of Central FL and the Moombas and Supras and all the people that came out. I'll definately be there for this year's event.

Do you know if it will be on the same weekend as last year? April 21, 2007??

Nope, i don't have a boat just yet... but workin on it. We ride behind a Nautique Team 236 now, starting last Saturday. It's a pretty comfy boat and has room for the whole neighborhood.

Jon, sorry to say, the Jamboree is for Moomba and Supra Owners and their invited guests.

However, the Jamboree is held in Lake Louisa State Park and the public does have the right to pay the parks' admission fee and come down to the beach and watch the owners have fun.

No wakesurfing clinics or demos on the plate for this year (yet). A couple "high end" surfboards will be raffled off to owners.

If you have an interesting idea of something involving wakesurfing at the jamboree, shoot me an email. I'm the guy who does the inviting.
