I think Parks is the only person who would know the answer to this. Didn't he land both tricks just one time each?

He nailed both and for him I'd say the mobe is easier.

they are both difficult for diffrent reasons. 1080: passing the handle is the hard part. These guys can spin them selves silly, but landing with the handle is a feat in it's own. Double backroll mobe: the backroll is a tripflip, so you have alot of line tension, making a 360 much harder.

a back roll is not a trip flip, and its not that there is alot of line tension, the hard part is not seeing where youre going to land

I thought parks has landed the double mobe more than once and the 1080 only once. So with that the 10 gets my vote.

I think the 1080 would be a little harder. Passing the handle that fast while spinning like a top seems like more of a challenge.

hyperlite nerd, I'm assuming since you haven't posted again that you've realized that you're a complete moron. Next time why don't you try doing a little research or getting on a wakeboard before you comment here. These other posters have been too pussy to actually call you out like you need to be. Get your facts straight.

Didn't Parks land the double mobe in competition? Or was it just the double BR?

Kyle - I saw a video of a guy recently who almost landed one. It seemed he would land one eventually if he hasn't already. I guess if you're banking on the "switch" part then maybe...I don't know if this guy's trick was switch. Kevin I dont think I would use that word, unless you were talking about the way you look in your profile pic. You look like the offspring of Wonder Woman and Vanilla Ice.

wow that youtube vid is pretty impressive. if that guy keeps tryin those hes going to land one, i think both tricks mentioned above are hard for different reasons and really shouldnt be compared although i think we need to acknowledge the fact that one man is responsible for both, and thats just amazing

yea 1+1=3! what you didnt know that?!?! come on educate yourselves. i think 10s look cooler. but gigundo smooth 3's with a double grab or long late grab like dannys hs bs 3 late method at the end of his butter effect section looks just as cool.

if im not mistakened the vid is a double roll fakie? a double roll mobe would mean he would have to finish blind like a bs 180 at the end of where he landed. he really almost has it and it looks insane, he boosted off that dubdub! no matter what it is he plays it off well. hmm that was cool ill land it later.

Double back mobe is much harder. Hundreds of people are only a 180 away from a 10. Ive seen several guys who can do 9's try 10's. They never land it, but they can try it all day. How many people can even do a double back? On top of that, how many can do a double cab roll? Of those, how many can do a double back mobe? Nobody is even close, nor is anyones riding level high enough to even try.

Both are hard, but the double mobe will knock the living crap out you almost every time you miss it. The 1080 attempt is something that a skilled enough rider will only get whacked on every once in a while. I think the double mobe is harder.

If nothing else the D mobe looks cooler. Anyone have the XSTAR commercial of Parks doing the Double? They played it at Supercross 2 years ago on the Jumbo Tron.

The youtube vid is a double roll to revert. And no the pansy hasn't tried it again. He uses his bum shoulder as an excuse. Parks did a double mobe? I thought he did a double half cab but I didn't know he did the full 3 rotation. Impressive.

haha - a buddy just forwarded this to me, so I thought i'd chime in (that's my drunken birthday adventure from the youtube clip)... As far as what's harder, I think it totally depends on what your riding style is, and how your mind/body reacts. for me, the 10 would be alot harder, as there is more to think about. for double rolls (eastcoast was correct, the video was from regular to switch), I really only think about getting enough pop and rotation, then spotting the landing (not drinking a 12 pack also helps).

but on a seriouse note, i just saved a bunch of money on my car insurence by switching to gieco. 1080-more difficult double halfcab mobe- parks doesnt miss a double halfcab roll... and with all of the momentum from the fliping and the 180 all he has to do is grab that handle once and it spins him the rest of the way... 1080- 3 handle passes.... more difficult to perfect cause more things to screw up. double halfcab mobe- still rediculesly insaine and incedibly hard. 1080- looks better. double halfcab mobe- almost too much going on... 1080- did it yesterday 12 times. double halfcab mobe- 18 times... a day on the lake with all your friends and chicks in bikini's... pricless.

this is how i see it: the double half cab mobe is parks's trick. no one else can do it and i doubt anyone else will do it. the 1080 has been landed by other riders and more people will start landing a 1080 because they are that close. nobody can come close to the double half cab mobe

I won't say anything as to which is easier, but to those that say no one will land a double half cab mobe, how short lived do you think our sport will be?? Parks is an amazing athlete, but I would hope our sport will see others. Maybe not in the near future, but someday. Look at the average talent in the sport today, it's always improving.
