Can anyone recommend a a good steadycam handheld mount that won't break the bank? It would be for a Canon HF-S100.

Yeah, thats what I was talking about. Wanted to see if there was any cheaper alternative to the Merlin ($700).

Glidecam 2000 should be all you need!!! We just got some really sick shots with the 4000 (for bigger cams).

Wanna go budget? Use a tripod and raise the head just enough to get your hand in there- weight the base to offset the cam- not ideal, but you can get a pretty smooth approach shot and you dont have to buy anything.

I got a Flycam 3000 that I might be interested in selling. It's a replica of the Glidecam, but at the fraction of the price.

I purchased a while back for my DVX100a and it worked just fine, but it's proved to be too small for my HVX.
