hello, as we went to get on our boat today, i walked by an MCx45 and took a peek inside... and first thing i noticed was how spacey it was...

not thinking about and and just amazed at the amount of space in that boat i called my dad over and he took a look at in and was wowwed too... he doesn't like wakeboats since they're typically smaller and we got some 27 foot deckboat (i dunno) but he said if he had known before, he would have looked for one of those

but he did mention he'd be interested for sometime in the future

how is the wake on this boat? how expensive are they new (but we'll definately get one used)? ...

i've only been in a wakeboarding boat once and it was an '04 x2 so i personally can't speak on the matter myself

thanks for any help!

A new wakesetter 247 LSV is around 8-12k cheaper than an equally equipped x 45. I have a 23 LSV and if you look at the favorite wake to ride thread the malibu vlx and 23 LSV are the most or close to the most talked about on the thread and they're all on the same hull, so the wake should be nearly the same, but wider and space I would say that they're pretty equal except the x 45 has more room in the bow because of the pickle fork design.

Good Luck trying to convince your dad.

thanks wakesetter.... well it would have been normally impossible to convince him, but him seeing it himself ( a bigger boat like he likes ) did the trick actually

i'm just guessing we'd do it for year 08... get it some time over winter or something... thanks!

The cockpit of a 23 LSV and a 247 are pretty much the same. The 23LSV is huge inside, and sisde by side with the 247 there is not much difference. From what i saw the front of the 247 is bigger and the rear hatches are bigger but the cockpit was pretty close.

I have an x-45. You can see my profile pic and email me if you have any questions.

I know a lot about the 45 ;-)

We got our 04 ws LSV for 64k with every option except heated driver seat. A 247LSV loaded would probably be around 75-80k

The 23 LSV and the 247 LSV have an identical bow and rear locker/engine compartment. The extra 17" in length is all in the main cabin area. The beam is also the same, IIRC. The 247 is massive inside. However, the 23 LSV is still very big and comfortable. And they started making the 23LSV on the new hull back in 2004, so you can find one that is a little older and cheaper than the 247. I have only seen the X-45 at the dealer (and it was very nice). I have sat in the 247 a few times, and I own a 23LSV. I bought my 2004 23LSV with all the important options last fall for 42k, with 107 hours and in mint condition. The only other thing I had to add was PP, which cost just under $1100.
