I figured that Travis has such a popular dog (BOCCE), And he does not want to look like a geeky dog owner. I figured I would start the Bocce thread. So post away people. Why not show us your doggy in the process too. Never met Bocce personally, but I intend to when I head to FL at The Boarding School this year.

IG's represent. These dogs will be your best friend one second and then rub their muddy paws into your couch cushions the next. Right before coursing and catching a squirrel (Message edited by gehennaengine on February 23, 2007)

Ant that first pic of your dog made me want to cry cause its so cute!!! This is mine... her name is Fluckie and she is 12 yrs old. Never been on a boat but she loves going with me in the car. Here she is, all ready to go with her purse on. She put it on without any help I take lots of pictures of her and she has started to pose for the camera now... sometimes she even smiles!

Randy-- That sounds great. I think that I'll be racing at California Speedway on the weekend of the 17th in March. With any luck, you all won't be getting together then. I'll look forward to hearing from you.

Is that picture of Lyman real? That is awesome. How do dogs typically react to being on a wake boat, and all the action?

This is trigger... she is a mutt off of the native reserve near our lake that adopted our family a few years back... first one in the boat every time... "hey guys... this is my boat" having a little nap while we were wakesurfing i think this is a trend... she must not like wakesurfing

This is Karl(and my daughter Jaden). I've had Boxers and Huskies so I've never been a fan of little "ankle biter" dogs, but he's actually pretty cool. He's half chiwawa half silky terrior. Can't wait to see how he does on the boat.

Man, this is awesome. I have been out of town for a couple days and just got back to find out my boy got his own thread. Huge! There are some freakin' cute dogs on here. I am just glad to see everyone takes them in the boat with them. People are always asking us about it and worried about the interior, but to be honest I couldn't imagine not having them there.

I started this thread....and ironically I do not have a dog. I have been borrowing my parents and neighbor's dog. But all of you have motivated me to get a dog... My wife and the kids are going to start looking this next weekend. Need to complete our boating experience with a little mascot. Thanks everyone...these are awesome pictures. Keep them coming. Maybe we will make The Bocce post the biggest one ever listed. That would be cool.

Travis....those are hysterical! Does he still sleep in awkward positions like that? You would think that can not be comfortable. Way too funny. Talked with Gerry last Friday. Thanks again...looks like we are going to try to work out something for July.

Travis - are IG the same as the full size? I dog sit for two greyhounds and they are the coolest dogs!! Their owner told me they are real sensative to heat, do you have a problem with that by taking the dog on the boat in the summer?

Thanks Andrew. I will do just that. My wife likes Dobies. Our friends have a 6 year old female. Words to the wise....my wife was watching their kids last week. This Doberman got a stick of butter off the counter and ate the whole thing. Never knew this, but high amounts of fat is poison to your dog. The owner Scott..is a vet and said to give her hydrogen peroxide to get her to hurl the butter up. dog didn't hurl..she had to go into work and visit her Daddy. Today she is doing fine. I known of dogs to grab stuff off counters and what not. Didn't know high volumes of fat is poison to them. Just an FYI for ya.

Bill, never had the dog eliminate in the boat....or on the platform for that matter(though I wish I could get him to on the platform). Take him to shore a few times a day and we are good to go. Plus, it is a nice time for him to get some energy out. Love the Dobe's.... Best dog I ever had was a Doberman.....and my next dog will take me back to that breed. Just didn't want to do a follow up and the expectations that brings.

Ryan My husky LOVES the boat! She will chase the truck down when Im going to hook it up. I take her to the beach and she runs around like a holy terror, I think it must feel like snow - sugar sand in Florida is the closest shes ever been to snow. She loves the water too, she jumps out and cools down while we are getting ready to ride. Your pup looks just like her when she was that age - he's going to love it!

Not my dog, but she spends the entire day with us and never goes home until we bring her back two doors down (best kind of dog...someone elses)" Then a pic of our other 'dog' Chuck: Travis, that second pic of your dog sprawled out and half-an-inch from falling off the seat is hilarious.

Bocce went to be bathroom on the back of the boat once when he was really young. Luckily he was little and he did it on the sundeck. Chase Heaver's dog took a massive dump on my platform once as well. But, I say it's worth running the risk.
