Hey Guys I've been looking for awhile and it appears I'll be purchasing this week. I have a guy going to a repo auction for me and there are 2 06 Air Warriors and 1 07 Air Warriors. I have been told to get the "C4".....the descriptions don't say anything about C4, but I was wondering if there is a way to tell by looking at the boat/engine. What exactly is the C4? Also, any input in general about this boat regarding wakeboarding wake, surfing, and storage would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Jeremy, all those Elite V's on there are C4's. If you go to the Mission site he has an 06 listed that is not a C4. In 07 they got rid of the old style elite V. The easiest way to tell is does the interior seating wrap all the way around to the back of the drivers seat and also look at the back of the hull. The old Elite V has a really wierd step/box thing where the C4 has the wetted surface running all the way back to a flat transom.

No C4=fugly fiberglass walkthrough from rear playpen seating through rear sunpad. C4 style is uninterrupted sun pad and is the preferrable style IMO.

Ben, that is only on the avalanche and maybe the 23' boat. They never made an Elite V with a walkthrough transom.

But yes the C4 is better than the non C4.

the mission site says it is a C4, but its not? I've noticed a lot of discrepancies in his listings.

any air warrior owners that love or hate their boat...why?

Yeah, mission's is the old style.

Jeremy, use the search function and type in Air Warrior C4 and see what pops up. I know there is a guy in the Seattle area who posts on here and he loads the crap out of his C4 for surfing.

Jeremy, not sure where you are located but we have one carry over new 2007 Air Warrior Elite V C4 left in stock that we need to get rid of. Check it out and let me know if I can help!

Here is the old style non-C4 hull. Notice the horizontal angle line in the side hull about 8 inches below the rub rail. The C4 hull does not have this - see link above.

I have not been behind a C4 version so can't really compare but will say my old style elite will throw a respectable vertical wake with about 1600lbs + 3-4 people. The wake is tricky to clean up and is very sensitive to weight placement but it will clean up. An excellent surf wave can be made fairly simply with this hull. Also I'm not a fan of the wrap around seating that goes all the way behind the driver seat. I like to use the space behind the driver seat to throw gear or put a cooler.

bmartin - Just curious, but do you have any info or links on how you set up your boat for surfing? I have the same hull and am VERY interested in trying it out for surfing. Thanks!

Paul, there is a guy that is always posting in the wakesurfing section with a handle of BigShow I think. He use to have the same hull and probably knows more about setting that boat up than anybody else.

Jeremy, Im a big fan of the Elite, seeming I own one. Mine is an 07, http://www.wakesiderides.com/rides/index.php?page=out&id=2623with the 330hp black scorpion, and with center ballast. I do use fatsacs in the rear locker and my wake seems to be good enough for the guys who go out with me. (Theyre pretty damn good) Its not to huge and sits enough for a small crew so its more fun and ride time. I also have kids and they love it as well especially jumpin off the swim platform. Surfing is possible and I will be working on that more next season dialing it in. My only gripe is the gas is on the driver side so I have to hit the pump from both sides if Im going to fill my truck as well. I have had some warantee work on it performed but Centurion has honored everything that has come up the biggest issue has been a crack in the fiberglass down by the strut. But it should be good as new now. Im happy with mine! Also go onto CenuturionCrew.com and ask them/us any other questions you might have.

Im with Matt. I have had mine since 05 and I really do like it. I have one center tank and the 315HP engine. The only complaint I have about the wake is that it needs a little extra on the passenger side to even it out. I usually shuffle a person or two around to correct it. The storage is huge especially if you dont have side sacks. The ride is great in choppy water too. All in all for what I paid three years ago I have been very happy with my purchase. Its not the flashiest or most expensive boat out there...but we dont ALL have excess money to spend. Great bang for the buck IMO!!!

Jeremy, pull the trigger already. :-) But if you need another to look at, I just came across this one that is priced well and doesn't appear to be a repo:

post was flagged...must have been too good to be true. I just did pull the trigger, such good deal I ended up with 2 boats so I now I need to sell one. I ended up with an 03 Wakesetter and an 03 Supra Launch. I'll post pics soon. I think I'm keepin' the wakesetter.

Congrats Jeremy, You got 2 smoking good boats. You may want to ride both wakes. Even though I love that wakesetter wake, you may really be surprised by the Supra

Paul - here is my set up. I have a 600# sac in each v-drive compartment, the center tank, and have 2 sacs under the bow seats. Since I keep my boat on a lift and do not trailer, I pretty much keep the sacs under the bow full most of the time and would guess there is a total of about #400 lbs. For surfing, I only set it up for the passenger(port?) side. I fill center tank about half full, which will lett a little more of the water in there to shift to the port side when you get it leaning. I completely fill port v-drive sac, empty or nearly empty the starboard side sac, and have all the passengers sit or stand on the port side - but find that I need at least 2 decent size peeps on the port side to make things happen with more the better. Bow sacs filled. I usually ride around 8.5-10MPH depending on weight/passengers and go a little faster the more I sink the boat. You can surf going straight but you will get a longer wave if you maintain a subtle left hand turn.
