Has anyone used the 1.25"fresh water Flush Pro, sold by overton's for $57.99.

Does this impeed water flow at wide open throttle?

I've used a similar product sold by Discount Inboard Marine (www.skidim.com)

While I don't know for a fact that it does not impede water flow, I haven't had overheating issues since installation. It has worked great for running the boat out of the water.

I have the flush pro built in to my VLX, it is a $100 option and includes a transom mounted hose connection. It works great. It has a spring loaded valve, and when the hose is not connected to it, it lets water pass just like a straight hose. When the hose is connected, the valve opens and it takes the water from the hose. Watch your temp valve, but I have never had an overheat problem with this unit.

My dealer recommends a water hose that has a garden hose fitting sealed into one end. Attach the other end where your water intake hose is attached to the motor or transmission. The whole thing is less than $5,nothing fancy and works like a charm.
