I never thought I would be in the market to buy a tube since I really am not a fan, but in this case I think it is worth it. We reached out the wounded warrior project and told them that we have all the necessary gear to teach wounded warriors to wakeboard, ski, kneeboard or tube. Problem is we actually do not have a tube...or knee board for that matter. They finally got back to me and it looks like they are going to take us up on our offer so now I am in the market for a tube and kneeboard. Does anyone know if brands or shapes or anything would be better or worse in this case?

Thanks in advance!

I kneeboard in addition to wakeboarding. I have a Hydroslide Phantom I picked up on sale at Sports Authority for under $100 a couple years back as a starter board. It's a cheesy rotomold but has a hook which helps beginner get up on deep water starts as they don't have to worry about the handle. I was riding a HO Element for two seasons. I picked it up for about $160 as a leftover from the year before. It's a good compression molded board (like a wakeboard) and I've had beginner doing deep water starts on it after a few rides on the training wheels board. This year I'm riding an HO Agent. So, depends on your budget and all, but there's a few options for you.

As for a tube? It's been forever since I've been on a tube and I refuse to pull one with my boat. lol But I'd say get one that seems fairly thick or durable so it doesn't pop. Would suck to have to replace it every season.

Talk to one of your local dealers and see if they would be interested in donating some product!!! It would be a write off for them anyway!

Thanks for the information. I would love it if we had a local board shop in the area. For the most part I am either stuck with Costco which I am not even sure if they would carry that here or the internet.

Go with at least a two man tube because shared danger is always more fun. If you tube the way ewe do at least.
