IMO Shawn Darnell is the "King". This guy had beat's long before many. IMO No one has done it bigger than Shawn Darnell to bad this system in not around in this configuration any more. It's like big Bass crazy systems are a rare breed these day's. #1 Either no one has a cammera and or won't take pictures. #2 Or money is tight these days an no one is building monster's. My idea of a crazy system might be diffrent than your's. A pair of Wetsounds or NVS on the tower and 1 12inch woffer is not my idea of a crazy system. So if you got some hump lets check it out. I would love to see some crazy system's.

And come to think of it... I think Shawn still has that boat, I don't remember it ever coming for sale (I could be wrong though). He was rebuilding the stereo about two years ago, there's a thread about it at epicmarine.com. One of the cooler things he did was did-away with the brackets on the rear deck and replaced with actuators that lifted the platform straight up (but keeping it horizontal to the boat), exposing a crap-load of backwards-facing speakers underneath. I believe the subs were moved to the rear compartment and were out-of-sight, giving him a back-seat again. Pretty crazy...

Yeah id agree with Grant! Shawn Darnell was ahead of everyone, that was a sick setup. He still has the boat and last time I talked to him he was playing around with the system. Its not near as wild as it used to be (he has a back seat in it now) but its still super clean and LOUD!

The loudest cleanest system I have ever heard comes off a 07 X2. Has two R.F. 12's under the dash facing the driver...they cramed them in there and the bass is incredible. They have 4 JL Audio seperates hanging from the tower (the stock type seperates that comes with the upgraded stereo package), and then 4 sets of seperates througout the boat...it is extremely loud and clean, with more bass than I've heard in a boat...#1 in my book.

Yeah, I've gotta think the green and white Malibu with 7 ARC 12" and Focal components everywhere might have a shot at beating up the 2 Fosgate 12's. Grants 4 12W7's paird to 4 ARC 2300's might out knock it too! I wanna heat Hammond's Zapco seperates though I bet their super clean powered by Zapco amps.

I'm just sayin'...never been in a boat with a louder system -I have a pretty big system in my car (and am planning one for my new boat coming up), but my ears rung for weeks after a weekend in that boat...I'm sure the others are mind blowing, but I've never seen or heard them.

I saw that arc audio boat in person and pictures do not do any justice for it. From my understanding, that boat is also for sale.

It feels good that people remember and talk about Shawns boat . I think his boat was kind "groundbreaking". It was certainly fun to build. Jerry should also mention his own boat, and Joes orange X2 is also very nice.

Funny thing is I used to think my boat was load. And as long as I don't see Ponte out there, no one can touch me on Lake Sonoma. (Thats what I tell myself at least)

Someone on here was talking about a boat that suposedly had two 18" Solo X's powered by the Warhorse 10,000 what amp a while back. If that boat is for real it would have to be retarded loud!

This is a really crappy picture of my 87 Supra -- that at the time had been pretty beat up. The engine had been in and out and in and out and the carpet was trashed. Since the picture was taken the entire boat has been redone, but I still have this box under my rear bench. 4x12" MA Audio Subs powered by two SAZ 1500Ds by Sundown Audio. I also have four 6x9s in the interior and 4 6x9s on the tower (all driven by a pair of PPI 2150s.) Yes. It's loud.

While not the craziest system we’ve done, this boat was more than a showpiece in that it didn’t lose any of its functionality. Even with dual subs, we actually netted extra storage. Check it out. http://www.earmarkcaraudio.com/install_supra_24ssv-1.asp David Earmark Marine

Tim: Now your talking. "Thunderdome" That was from a place called Rolling Thunder Audio. http://www.rtaudio.com/index.html I couldn't find any pick's of it. It was a 99 or 2000 Air Nautique. All PPI and TiFF. It had a 30inch Woffer located in a box above the tower pointing down. I never got to hear it but people say it pounded. Another example of people going huge back some 9 years ago. The Arc Audio boat. Pretty F'n awesome. Cool how some of the crazy'st system's are all WEST COAST. I would like to get to the bottom of the boat in the photo above. I had heard 2 versions about that boat. Version #1 It was done as a JOKE by a Wakeboard rep. Version #2 No joke it's for real. The owner rock's a Bannanna Hammock and thinks it's cool. Either way Catgory #3 has no compition. BTW The SUPRA with 4-MA audio sub's ROCK's
