Looking on Boardersmall they have a couple of close out Liquid Force Team Comp Live Vests. Are these CGA?

Thanks. Anyone know the laws in Indiana? Can you wear a non CGA vest?

As far as I know, in all states, you must have one CGA approved vest on board for each person in the boat. Typically the water patrol people don't know the difference, so if you have a vest in the boat for each person you should be good.

At least they have yet to physically inspect the vest when I have been stopped.

Anyone tried LF team vest? Is the flotation really bad?

Comp vests are just that...generally made for competition to allow for greater movement when you're doing tricks. Plenty of people are around during a competition so if you get knocked out you wont float to the bottom of the lake. If its you and your buddy, you may end up being fish food. They are non-cga because they dont provide enough floatation to pass.

Buy a CGA vest unless your riding comp. Liquid Force and Hyperlite both have good CGA vests that are hinged well enough to provide good movement. Thats just my 2 cents.

I have last year's team vest. Blue and White one. It floats pretty well. Not quite as good as a CGA vest but still pretty well. i like it. My vest the year before was the blue pinstriped LF Team vest. so needless to say Im a fan.
