SInce it's fast i figured it will work great on the cable?
I mostly do Airtricks/Inverts from the flat.

i'm 150 to 160 lbs and want to go huuuuugeeeeeee!!!

I have a few buddies who have it and love it. It should work great on cable as long as you get the Limited with the grind base, or else the molded-in fins will get torn to **** in no time.

I use the LTD at the cable all the time, it's starting to look a little beat up after a almost a year but it still rides perfectly fine.

I'm 5'11" and 180 and the LTD is a 139 and works fine for me

Looks like it would be a great board for the cable. Molded fins, fast, nice 3-stage rocker, and soft landings. Just make sure it doesn't have a spine and if it does, that it isn't a big spine. I'm dealing with a board with a large spine right now and it really hinders your rail abilities. I can't wait for it to break.

I would say unless you have a preference for smaller decks, go with the 139

lyman is great for cable, lots of cable riders use it. S4 grind base is good for cable also. Watson Hybrid is sick as, just switched to it from the S4 and loving it. Cuts and releases well for air tricks.

Ok thanks guys

shure the watson hybrid is a killer board.
but i am going for the lyman.

i will demo it this weekend to verify the sizes

damn.
they only had the 139 to demo.
loved the looseneth. not too loose nor to locked.
watson hybrid without fins was to loose for me.

great bite on edge with lots of speed.

still wonder if the 135 wouldn't be even better?
mostly because 180 lbs guys rip the same size

When I rode last year I was around 160 and I ride the 138 PS3 at the cable and the 140 Witness behind the boat. 139 will be fine. The 135 I think is just too small. 139 is not a big board. Bigger air, smoother landings. Trust me get the 139. Once you get used to it you'll never go below a 138.

P.S. Last year I rode Cable 90% of the time. This year it will be boat 90%

I rode the Lyman 139 two summers ago. I am 5'8", 160 and it was the perfect size. I wouldn't go any smaller on the Lyman.

It's the 139 then

Thanks a lot.

p.s: these years grind / LTD Version looks awsome.
the bottom is black/grey and not red like on some "pics"

Im also looking for a cable board. Let me know how your Lyman works out! Im looking at the Witness myself..

i've ridden the 139 already.
and the 140 witness too.
it's all true they say about those boards.
witness has a really easy flick away/cut/release.
easy to learn inverts.
but i didn't like the overall feel. carving etc. maybe this one really was a touch too big.
heard some bad things about it's strength, and it felt a bit thin and sounded like a cardboard;-)

overall feel was really great on the trip and lyman.
trip feels great for carving. lyman is very close with even quicker turning. but the lyman is for my liking by far the best for edging. but i need to dial in the release with that board. it's not as easy as on the witness.
the middle fin on the trip was unmounted.

had a change to ride the 134 S4 and it was very unsettled in comparison to the bigger boards.
didn't feel save on it. landings are definitely harder.
so i guess a size around 137 to 139 really suits me.

the 134 S4 would be too small for you, which would be why it didnt feel "safe". The bigger size feels completely different.

If you like lyman go for it, sounds like you like it the most and thats what really matters, realistically speaking any of those boards has the portential to rip at cable its just down to your own preference.

I agree the watson hybrid is too loose for air tricks without fins which is why i replaced the stock fins with lyman fins. Changes the whole feel of the board, you still get that nice loose skatey feel but when you edge for air tricks it locks in and still releases well.

i have a 141 ps3 grind . i weigh 175 i've ridden a witness 139 and a slingshot . the slingshot felt very loose much like a hyperlite i once rode. i've ridden cable at texas ski ranch mccormicks and owc.seems like all of the riders prefer liquid force their grind series holds up very well. as for feel every board is different for every rider. i like bigger board more air softer landings. only downside more swingweight . should only affect your sevens and above.i've heard nothing negative about wear or weakness in liquid force boards.i ride cwb marius behind the tige wich is 90% of my riding.
