Playing with the Configuration tool on Mastercraft's site... I like these two options for my next X-2.. First.. Metalic Red with Blk bottom and blk top.... (what's the opinion on blk on top? Does it sratch or get hot? Looks dirty?) Second.. Metalic Red with blk bottom and white top.. Now for some quick photoshop fun... 40th anniversary inspired... Metalic red... get the back of the back wrapped with the Anniversary themed graphics..

Anniversary theme. It ties in the white deck with the red and black. The first one is really cool but the deck would not be cool an would show every had print, compared to the white deck.

This is what the boat would look like w/out the graphics. Nice choice.

SO the verdict is that a black top would be prone to lots of finger prints, water spots, and scuffs? We do a fair bit of in and out of the boat from the dock... I don't want to have to bust out the polisher every week to get rid of a scuff...

oh i like the aniversary grafix, sick. you know when choosing a boat you have to take in acount the water you will be putting it in. im from the delta and there is no way in hell i would get a black boat, man those water spots. i bought a blue and grey malibu, i couldnt emagine the kind of damage the hard water and the people would do to the black on the top edge.... think about how pissed you would be at yourself later when the whole top edge looks like crap.lol

go with the anniversay graphic its sick. i would stay away from the black on the top deck because it shows a lot of finger prints, dirt, water spots, etc. it is also very hard to clean and keep it clean! congrats on getting a X-2 u'll love it! oh it also gets really hot and uncomfortable to move around the boat or rest ur arm on the top deck. Greg, I have seen the anniversary boat in person, and it is honestly one of, if not the nicest looking boats I have ever seen. Get that one!

The anniversary theme with the wrap would be unique to your X2; I would go with that.

I know the 40th is a kick butt looking boat and is definetly unique... It's justifying the cost..most are fairly well loaded up... maybe I'll ask my dealer to custom order one "no frills"

I'm pretty sure the 40th graphic scheme is only for the X-Star, so it would just have to be a custom wrap for an X2.

Like I said... some custom wrap on the back of the boat.... Not to mention the type of red is different on the 40th anniversary...

I've seen the 40th in person and you can see my boat in my profile and IMHO "ruby red metallic" and "fire red metallic" are not that much different.

Cosmocat, He's from Canada. I see it spelled that way sometimes from the Canadian, English and Austrailian folks. Makes it look kinda fancy. "My boat is Red and White in colour"

Black top sucks, too hot and scratches. The problem with X2 is what ever color the deck is, the floor is the same. You will never be able to take the carpet out cuz of the heat, and who wants a boat without removable carpet (cough, cough mailbu)? J/K. The 40th Anniversary XStar and 197 looks really great in person, pics dont do it much justice. I would go with the 40th anniversary graphics. Who is doing it for you?

I like the black top with the x2 wrap. If it was my boat I wouldnt have the big mastercraft. I would leave that bear.

Yes us Canadian folk use proper English spelling... Colour- Color Centre- Center On another not... does the blk floor really get that hot... Please keep in mind I am not in Arizona... Carpet will always be in the boat unless I am washing it. Are we talkin about black from first hand experience or just hear say?
