I know that November 27 is a ways off, but I am feeling the need to give thanks today.
Thanks to Stefani and Jason Payne for inviting me out to ride on their X-2 today, and also for getting up early, dealing with flat tires, doing most of the driving, and for being all-aound nice people.
Thanks to Christie Fisher for always being stoked, going big, trying 360s and making great movies to entertain us all.
Thanks to Josh for being infinitely patient with the old folks and also for keeping the tunes pumping on the boat stereo.
Thanks to Trace (Wounded Knee) for the lunch time cocktails at Union (unexpected surprise)!!
Thanks to the rest of the yahoos on the Delta for not actually running us over no matter how close they came.
Thanks to the wind for taking a rest today.
Thanks to the sun for shining so beautifully.
Thanks to God (aka The Great Mystery) for letting it all happen! (especially thanks for the miracle of steering my wife and I through that accident yesterday on the way to Boardstock... when you see cars crashing 100 feet in front of you on the freeway and a full size pickup truck airborne hurling in your direction, yet everybody ends up walking away without serious injury, it kind of makes you stop and think extra hard about all we have to be thankful for)
So... Today was a good day on the Delta!
Thanks to you all for reading this!

If others are feeling thankful for other things today, let's hear it!!!

Ja and I are thankful for many things. To name a few.... Good friends and family you can count on in good times and in bad, good health, and California Sunsets on the delta.

Thanks for a great day Christie, Josh, Jimmy and Ja. You guys are truly wonderful to have on board! We look forward to many more times together (with Katie too). It truly was a great day!!!!

More pics to come tomorrow!!!
CHRISTIE'S FIRST SPIN ATTEMPT.... SO CLOSE....

Delta was awesome today, I expected big crowds and ocean like conditions!!!! Just the opposite!!! 99 degrees, no wind, and I think I have never seen so few boats on a weekend!!! I take that back, I saw tons of people in the main channel, and the "island" by 14 mile slough, but when we were wakeboarding, we saw very few boats!!! (Except for the 16 year old MORON in the centurion who came within 10' from my niece who was sitting in the water... I was looking for something to throw at him, good thing I couldn't find anything!!!)

funny, i had at least three conversations with as many different people just today where i found myself saying exactly that - how much i had to be thankful for.

im thankful for:
- my wonderful girlfriend
- health and living in a free modern nation
- all my boat-owning friends that give me pulls!
- and just generally being so blessed and having so much richness, both materially and spiritually

(edit) whoops! forgot to say "whaaathahell? christie's doin' spins?? rock on grrl!"

Stef & Ja - Yes, thanks again for taking us out on the X-2 yesterday. I had my best run of the year, but I'm still not ready to admit it's the Mastercraft

Jimmy - It was great riding with you again...you are definitely a pleasure to watch! Thanks for all of the riding tips and encouragement!

I have tons to be thankful for as well...where do I begin?

-my wonderful fun Josh who keeps me smiling
-all of the great friends I have met through wakeboarding
-mine and my son's health
-a good job, a house to live in, food on the table
-the DELTA
-all of my friends with boats who take me out when mine is out of commission (or sold, or being built..hehe)
-my new boat that will hopefully be done this week!

Christopher - I had a little 'liquid courage' yesterday (thanks to Trace) and tried some 360s in the afternoon :-)

Damn Trace, I wanted to come out with a thread stating how "go both ways now" but you already let the cat out of the bag. Your last run was sweet though. Congratulations. You forgot to mention the Ole' surface three that you rode away from as well.
Yesterday was a good time shared with good friends. It was nice to meet Jimmy, Jason, and Stefani as well as see Kristi and Josh again.
I look forward to the rest of the fall and winter riding season with everyone.

It was nice meeting everyone at Union Point for a late lunch yesterday as well. Rob, your little boy (Nate) is adorable! Be sure to post pics of Trevor when the time comes:-) Trace, thanks for the cocktails, that was a nice treat! Sean, Alan, Rod and crew, sorry we missed you at Union Point but we'll see you next weekend I'm sure! I'm so thankful to have such a great group of friends! Now I remember why we always spend thanksgiving weekend together!

Looking forward to many more good times!

Wow, 10.5 hours on the delta yesterday, can't beat that! More pics to come when I get home from work!

William, which X10 were you? Blue, black? I saw a couple out yesterday. Stop and say hi next time.

Christie, your riding is incredible!!! I can't wait to see the video of the last two Sundays riding together!!! You are on a roll girl!! Your VLX will sure to launch you to the sky! I'm still in shock on how big you and Jimmy both go! It was a MONDO (hahaha) day!!!!

Thanks Gregg, that's nice of you to say:-) Shooting pics of Jimmy is easy because he holds his grabs and tricks for the longest time... I'm trying to train him and Christie to look at the camera and wink or smile though:-)

I got your photoshop pic which is CLASSIC!!! VERY funny, but you are right, I wouldn't post! But I will send it to Jimmy and Christie so they can get a good laugh! You are really good at working with photoshop, almost scary good!
