Help with board(s) for my boat

Just got a new G25 and looking forward to the season. We had a Malibu 247 and only started surfing a little towards the end of last season. Not knowing anything, I bought one board which is an Inland Surfer board that looks like or might be a Squirt (can't remember the name) but it's pretty big. I'd like to add a board or two to give us some variety and also allow the portfolio of boards to accommodate the following riders (and their friends):

Me - 6'4", 235 lbs
Wife - 5'1" 125 lbs
Our "Manny" - 5'7" 150 lbs
14 year old son - 5'9" 115 lbs
11 year old son - 5'0" 95 lbs
7 year old son - 4'2" 50 lbs

Like to try and limit new purchases to 2 boards if possible. All but the 2 youngest did ok on the Inland board but it's clearly too big and bouyant for the smaller riders. Thought maybe a skim type board might be good to have on board for the younger crowd but I don't know much about them. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Jim, check out the Shred Stixx Ringer. It will cover all your riders and will allow you to progress rapidly.

On the small end, you can find a 2011-2012 Shred Stixx Nano (production Nano was 4'2") these can be found on sale for as little as $399 on line, or a TWP grom, is is about 4'0 (I think is is $499?). Both great youth boards.

Skims are great for sinking and getting up, but they ride like skim boards, and can be sort of hetchy sketchy for youths.

For 2013 I updated the Nano profile, and introduced the Skywalker. It is a light weight performance rider board, that comes in at 4'4" in production with a weight range of 50 to 140ish, retail is $499.
On the custom side, I can make a Skywalker as small as 4'0, but would recommend 4'2" for your three youngest sons.

if you want a skim a phase 5 trident for the big guys, you can run shorty tresher of twin and single. great skim for big guys. carbon board very well built

i had a scamp for my buddies kids and an ogle phase 5. the scamp is easy to find, bullet proof and good to about 130lbs. cheap too. not to just push phase 5, ( we have collected a bunch of boards) but they really seam to last and the kids will beat them up.
