Alright i am really looking close at getiing thetige rz2 because of all the great wake surf wake. But i want to know how sturdy the tower is i hate when you hit a little wave and the vibrate and bounce around. Also how is the z tower whle pulling a tube from it is this safe with the new tower?

Never tow a tube from the tower on any boat, use the ski pylon for tubes.

It's a cast aluminum tower, not much different than the illusion tower. Haven't heard anything about it being shaky at all. The only negative is that you can only have 1 pair of racks on it. Don't pull tubes from the tower, only the ski pylon

Alpha Z is one of the sturdiest towers ive ever used or been around.

What would you do if you owned an Epic?

The ski pylons are very sturdy. Are you a professional tuber???

Timmyb you tie it off to the rear hook. I think the original Axis has to do this as well.

If it doesn't have a transom handle wiht a hook like the axis you don't tube, pretty simple. Tubing form the tower is dangerous as all hell

I don't see how pulling a tube could be much different than pulling doubles wakeboarding. I've seen 2 200 pounders double and they would pull on the boat ALOT

Not worth it, something goes wrong and someone gets hurt you're screwed. Insurance isn't going to cover negligence since it's clearly stated not to pull tubes form the tower. TUbes do put more force than even double riders

Oh boy, I better break the news to my buddy who has been towing his kids around from the tower for 5 years that he can't do it...

The alpha z seems to be stronger than any tube tower that I have been pulled from.

I think the advice is that he shouldn't do it. You could probably tow an RZ2 with a VW Passat but should you?

You can do whatever you want, I've always been against having to put labels on everything to stop the dumb from not doing the obvious. I guess there are plenty of dumb people the manufactures need to protect themselves from....

Very sturdy.IMPO the best tower out right now. Easy up and down sturdy and quiet. As for towing a tube common sense comes in to play. Sure tow a couple small kids avg. speed nothing crazy no problem at all. Now stack a couple 200# fellas out there and amp up the speed and whips than yeah better safe than sorry use the D-ring on the back and go nuts!! RZ2 is a great boat your going to Luvit!!

I pulled my Raptor Blaster 8' by 11' wing shaped tube in 20mph winds at 35mph and was able to attain 40' in height for at least a 1/2 a mile with my 2007 Tigé 22VE. The tower on that boat was no where near as solid as the Alpha Z tower.I wouldn't hesitate to pull a tube from my 2011 RZ2 tower as i deleted the rear pylon in my build specs.
