I have a buddie that is going to look and test run this MB, is there anything to look for on these boats. This is what he posted about it...

Only 125 Hours! This boat is awesome...handles rough water well, and has tons of storage room. Throws a big wake and an excellent surf wave also....Boat options include: perfect pass, 2000lbs factory ballast, wakeboard racks, clean interior(no rips, stains, etc), bow fill in cushion, wind dam, nice stereo system with sub, 4 tower speakers, and 2 amps, dual batteries w/ isolator switch, hydraulic engine hatch, depth finder, compass, water temp gauge, billet package (stainless cup holders, glove box) serviced and ready to go!! Has the PCM Excalibur 330HP motor. Includes tandem axle trailer and custom boat cover. Graphics are painted in to the hull....no decals/stickers. (low nada on this boat is $46K-$53K)....This is a steal, for a 23' high end wakeboard boat...MB Sports builds an awesome, high end boat!!

$37k

make sure all the ballast works flawlessly, also make sure the the Perfect pass works without any issues, and ride behind it fully loaded with people (4-6) and ballast full, you will now be disappointed

Thats a great deal and you will not find a boat with a better wake.

Definitely an incredible deal. I like it every bit as much as my SANTE wake too. I kinda consider it the big brother of the old 210 hull.

make sure the tower is on solid. my buddy has the same exact boat and had to have his tower reinforced because it wobbled so much and is actually on his second tower now since the first one ended up having stress cracks. Besides that - awesome boat - great wake.

i'd look at another boat, but that's just me.

^^^I'm with Joe on this one. I wouldn't exactly call that a steal right now, nice fair deal yes but a steal no. NADA doesn't mean jack.

Josh, I was a little disappointed with the boat in all honesty. it claimed to have 2000-2500lbs of auto ballast but the wake with 4 people & all the auto ballast didn't really do much for the wake.

Plus, the loud bang from the transmission changing took some getting use to. I didn't expect it and even from all the way back on the handle, I thought the boat had hit something. That's how loud it was.

But, if the boat runs really well and everything is in tip top working order, it's a fair deal but I would agree, nothing special.

didn't it sound like the tranny exploded when it shifted? as for the wake, it doesn't matter how much weight you add...it doesn't get any better.

Joe, it freaked me out!

Less than 15% of MBs have the 2-Speed. It works great and if you dont know how to use it, it can be horrid. Just like if you don't know how to drive SMG in a BMW. Would I order a boat with the 2-Speed? No, but I do appreciate it and know a lot of people that do love it. Watch This.

Does this boat have it? If so it was not listed in the options above.

Also, this is a B52 V23, this is a very good buy. If you don't think so, I think you are thinking its a regular B52 V. Very different boats, but look similar.

this is a dialed in V23 wake here, i'd say it's pretty good. (pic from Dan Smith)

I think that is a good deal on that boat.

MB wakes are good

To be fair, my boat is the Team Edition, which has 2500 lbs stock (2 x 1000 tanks + 500lb bow) AND 400 lbs in pop bags (160 up front, 2 x 120 in the back of each locker).

There is a big difference between the V23 w/ 2000 vs 2900 lbs. The wake is much firmer & meatier (my friend has practically the same boat as listed).

The only thing I would be concerned with is the 330hp engine. I have the ZR6 (375hp), and even w/ the extra 900lbs the hole shot & time to plane is considerably faster than the 330 w/ 2000.

However, $37k is a really, really good deal for a 2007 v23.

Well we went and checked out this boat and I'm very surprised by it. I'm not a huge fan of the flames or what ever you call that on the hull but at least the kept it out of the interior except the back pad. This boat has a ton of space and love the fact you can't see anything of the ballast. The current owner has gone threw and put in a pretty decent system in the boat and four tower speakers that I can care less for. Sitting in the boat it sounds pretty good though. I like the fact the interior and helm are just crazy simple and you can sit in the drivers seat and see out the windshield! I think were going to get out and water test this boat tonight and see what the wake can do with stock and 3 adults and 2 kids.

Huge thanks to everybody for their posts and pictures! Heck keep the pic coming of the wake I like that shape the Only posted up!

Shima ~~ I will for sure ask him about the 2 speed Tranny, thanks!

Another thing to mention is that the V23 is very sensitive side-to-side. You will need to ensure people are aware of where to sit and possibly move around as 40lbs in either direction can make a huge difference.

The storage is crazy huge. I keep all our boards, vests, skis and still have room for bags/backpacks & coolers.

See my first post, 4 posts up.

The rider was at ~ 23.5 MPH at 85ft (80 + handle).

Another question: To get the use of the low end in this boat what prop do you recommend for a good whole shot? It seems like a lot of weight to be running a stock prop.

Looks to be a good deal. With that color pattern, I instantly think of Shamu the Orca.

I've owned two MB's now and have really liked them. The local MB dealer (SS Marine)here in Utah has been good to me which I think can be one of the most important things to consider when buying a boat.
On my 06 MB I only had the 330 engine and did notice it needed a power prop, I think I got the Acme 1234 that took about 5 mph off the top but improved the hole shot significantly. I have an 09 MB now and use the same prop but it has the 350 engine which helps a little. I haven't had the two speed transmission on either and don't think its necessary.

I think SS Marine is getting away from selling MBs. They didn't bring in any 2009s. Said they would be selling Tige instead...

FYI, Fred's in Layton picked up Tige just last month.

My 07 B52 (21) has been perfect with the exception of a ballast pump going out. My fault for leaving it on dry. Everything else is awesome.

Well we took the boat out for a water test last night, 2k of ballast takes quite awhile to fill. #1 the boat has to be re proped with 3 adults and 2 kids and full ballast it is a little slow getting out of the water with the stock prop. I think the boat handles very well with little side lean when the rider cuts out. Full of ballast the boat tracks very well and handles a double up perfect. You hit the throttle and then the boat will do everything else. The worst this is I can't over ride the PP when setting up for a DU. I had to ride it at 27 mph (I ride 24 max) so something needs to be calibrated to get the speed right. The boat looks way better in the water then it does on the trailer and it seems to catch everybodys eye since you don't see a ton of them here in SLC, UT. It's really hard to talk about the wake since we had to duck in the corner of the lake called Mud Lake. We were riding between 3 and 5' depths so the wake was not to it's full girth.
