Pretty sure I pulled my lower ab pretty bad last night. Feels like it almost tore right under my waist line. Besides rest and Ice, anything I should know about these? How long should I expect to be out?

I did mine twice in 2 years. I was out at least a month for both. Do as little as possible. I still worked out while trying to heal and it just slowed the process. Def sucks

I did something similar last year......ended up going to Dr and he gave me some muscle relaxers that helped a ton.....took those and laid off a week or so and was good....

Like damaged ribs, they can take forever to heal if you don't rest. I would chill for 3-4 weeks and then start with light stretching to see if it's ready.

pulled/ripped lower abd muscle can also be/lead to a hernia...... keep your eyes open and do your research. PS if your balls start to hurt and continue to hurt GOTO A DR!!!

Agree with KP if the pain continues you may have a sports hernia.

I've done a bit of reading (granted, I'm nowhere close to a dr.) and I'm pretty sure it's nto a hernia, no bulging, and the pain is decreasing daily. Just hoping I'm good for the cable in another week, or at the very least, memorial day weekend
