I still don't know which pump it is. There are two. And his wording leads one to think that the 700 was the price of parts only. That is very difficult to swallow and leads me to suspect the accuracy of the hearsay.
In my experience these sort of third person price gouging threads die under their own weight because the poster neglected to mention the other services on the invoice.
Usually it's: While its in here for the water pump do an oil change, the batteries are dead, the windscreen wipers slap out of tempo and the toilet is stopped up. 700$ for a water pump ?!?! Outrageous!
Usually anyways. Maybe Im wrong and the shop needs the poster to make a rent payment.
