i though all the wakeboarders hated DC because they dropped them all?

I ordered a Murray 140 with new boots (set up through a backorder to be sure I get one of the first out of production (I want to get a few runs in...because our season will not last and will be winding down quickly by the time I get the set up). I ordered blindly..because I already got the low down on what the ride will be like. Saw the pic someone posted on here from the paper that caught up with Murray at Lake Shasta. So I am getting the gear without even knowing what the boots or the color of the board will look like. Risk worth taking. Unless.....Entrust Clothing...you could send me a pic or description of the 140. I am getting the white boots...thats all I know. And that Murray was riding the white board with the grey triangle....I am thinking that he was on the 135 board because typically that is what he rides. So any information for a impatient boarder would be helpful.

Actually they are being made by a subsidary of DC b/c all the skaters hate us from what i hear....

Scott, that is raddest, yes i said raddest, things i have seen on here in a long time. i am super pumped on the ride, and yeah, i ride the 135. word to big bird.

I will work on that and on my toeside 180, but I think it's only a matter of doing them a couple of times, and then they will be "mine".

Say Hi to Niels. And of course we hope to see you in Denmark again. Next time we will promise you better weather

Thanks Shaun!...So the board I am getting (140) will not be white. The 135 is the white like in the photo. But the other options I heard will be black, or grey. I have been real nosey with the peeps in Seattle. Travis hinted way back in February on how cool the new shape is. So I am stoked! Like I said...got my order in and I will be on it, even if the water temps are 50 by the time it arrives, I will get my run in. I heard the boots are totaly Rad...yes I said Rad too.

the premier did change for 08, the overall shape is the same but they got rid of the abs side rails and the jib rails so its much lighter now!

do abs side rails help that much if your not hitting sliders.

no, you don't need the rails, they were there for sliders, im gonna scan some pics and post them up in a sec

I've been waiting almost 3 years for JD to get his 'own' board. It seemed like they pumped the Drive as his board, but he always rode the Premier that year. Any specs on the BSide? Abrupt continuous or subtle 3-stage?

greg nelson is shaping for hyp what about double up?
Old     (ride900)      Join Date: May 2007       08-14-2007, 10:21 AM Reply
Is it me or do Gregs shapes look the same as some of the shapes he did on DU back in the day. I forget the board but it was Blue it came out like 9 years ago and had the same exact tail as the Syn, and the Tribute. Maybe its just me but if Hyperlite was looking for cutting edge they should have found someone that still wakeboards to shape their boards. I thought all Greg did was golf.
Old     (helix_rider)      Join Date: Mar 2003       08-14-2007, 10:27 AM Reply
Proho...I sensed sarcasm...and so looked at the bindings to chuckle along and didn't see anything? Then I looked closer. Under the specs...you had me rolling. Hey dude, hold this for me. No prob man, I got the 'stash pocket' right here. Hit it!
Old    sealyon.net            08-14-2007, 10:28 AM Reply
Just saw the new Byerly also it is NICE. Noticed the boots on it laced in the front also.
Old     (morty)      Join Date: Oct 2006       08-14-2007, 10:33 AM Reply
Just because a board has the same tail shape doesn't mean it is the same board. There are boards from completely different companies that have similar tip/tail, it does not make it the same board. Think about it, there are only so many shapes you can do with a tip and tail. If the boards are starting to resemble some Double Up shapes that would not be a bad thing, DU had simple, clean, good boards, you do not need all of the clutter on the bottom of a board to be good, simple is better.

the sub vi looks sick.

my shop had one in the other day to look at, its light as hell and super sick.

its got channels shaved out on the top to make it lighter.. we weighed it in at 5.5 pounds. a whole pound lighter than the lf axis.
SICK

Might have to pick up a Sub Vi too. man....decisions decisions. 08 is going to be a great year for boards.
Old     (robin_holland)      Join Date: May 2006       08-15-2007, 10:33 AM Reply
Oke so the sub vi isn't that light, because the byerly board 2008 should be 4,5 pounds and it isn't carbon. So that sub vi sucks, it isn't light at al

have to compare the Sub VI to the Byerly when they come out. I heard from a VERY good source, that the carbon board is awesome and rides like no other board. I would have to believe that it would ride differently, being a different material. Everything I own that is made of Carbon fiber is pricey...but durable. Stand the test of time.

could you post a better pic, of the tribute? thanks
Old     (mucktoerider)      Join Date: Jan 2007       08-15-2007, 7:14 PM Reply
I heard that the Byerly actually weighs in a little over 7 lbs. Not sure where Alliance got their 4.5 lbs out of the traditional foam core. If that was the case, you would have to ask about the durability. Apples to apples when they both come out...put them on a scale.
Old    sealyon.net            08-16-2007, 9:38 AM Reply
Entrust, it looks like the premier and Apex will be offered as package boards by the writing on the pics. ??

yes the premier and apex will be packages, the premier will be $499 with a nice boot! and the apex will be $399 with the new boot that replaces the state, much nicer!

its funny because the sub vi was suppose to weigh in at 3 pounds through designing stage.

you cant know the weight until the final product come out with graphics & fins... so we will see what the byerly really weighs.

ive heard that is will be a 7 pound board.
