tall but short or small and long? I think I've come to the realization that I like a smaller wave with a longer sweet spot than a huge wake with little room to play back and forth.

I realized this last week when we went out with just 3 people and minimal weight. While the wake wasn't nearly as large as usual I had a good 10-15ft sweet spot and had the best session of my life. Yesterday we had more weight adding close to a foot in size but eliminated about 5 ft of workable wave.

I want them both! :-) However, considering the practicality of that, I am willing to sacrifice height for length. The airs that James gets are based MORE on length than height of the wake. A bit more length also allows for throwing a surface three or hold a floater for a longer time.

I love how my VLX has a High and long sweet spot. the newer Vlx has a large wake but its total virt, next time I'm out on my buddys boat I'm going to throw a 750 bag in front to see if that helps.
