I'm in the process of looking for a used boat. I found a seller who owns a 2003 Supra Launch 22 SSV w/ 57 hrs. The boat is of course in like new condition. I'm having trouble trying to figure out what this boat would be worth. NADA only gives average retail value and a low retail value; I would think the boat would be considered a high retail value. So my question. What do you think true market value is of a 2003 Supra Launch 22 SSV w/ 57 hrs, almost all options, and in like new condition?

Thanks,

Ken

low 30's...I'd offer 30k for it. It's now 5 years old. The guy obviously doesn't use it based on hours.

I'd agree with adam. You can find a 2003 SAN for upper 30s now. I'd think 33 - 35 range. 30k is a low ball offer for sure. It's a shame that a boat like that was never used.

It migth be in high retail shape, but it is in the middle of the winter so I would say somewhere around average retail. I agree with onlyinboards, I would say it is worth 33-36 depending on options and color.

I'm with Adam, 30k sounds about right. Honestly though, 57 hours in 5 years would worry me. Its done a whole lot of nothing over the course of its life.

.........in the fall of 2006 a guy with a 2001 accepted 27000 from me ....this year before I bought my boat i offered and which was accepted 30000 for a 2001 ssv...but then i changed my mind.......this being a 2003....I to agree 30000 any higher say 33000 dollars now your only 4500 away from getting a used 2006 supra 21v with the upgraded tower deeper interior wrap around seating etc (and I have personally seen them sell for 37500)......and to me thats not enough of a difference....so 30000 is good. (thats actually how I ended up with my 21v the price difference between a newer and older boat wasn't that great )

most of the boats I have seen sell went for significantly less than the asking.....all the rest are still for sale. You have to get lucky to sell high. You can list a 2003 for 36000 but I doubt you would get it . I have been looking for 2
years and have run across many boats listed for over a year that were priced high. What people
ask and what they get are usually quite different.

Badboyripper has a very nice 2006 Supra 21v for sale, call him for details 661-747-0559. He had a 2005 22ssv and the new 21v is much better in my opinion, might be worth considering.

FWIW my last boat was a loaded 04 gravity games SSV with 300 hours that I sold in early 07 for 36k. It sat on the market a while too and I thought it was priced pretty well.

Thanks for all the replies... I got it for $28,000 even. I think I received a really good deal at that price.

Thanks,

Ken

How about a 1999 Tige 2100v? I'm in the same situation as bulletlines.

I'm a newbie with a young family so I'm looking for an all-purpose v-drive that my kids can learn to ski, wakeboard, barefoot and go tubing with.

This seems like a decent boat, but I've heard that older Tige's had some bad hull problems. Is '99 one of those years?

for an all purpose boat i've heard from all kinds of people that the 21v tige is great. its going to throw a very good surf wave too.

The hull should not be a problem, I have a 2001 21v and it is solid. The main changes are Tige went to a composite stringer versus wood and changed the hull shape. Looking at the boat my main concerns would be the oxidation, what is condition of the rest of the boat (left outside uncovered alot? mechanicals parts ok?)

The other thing is that tower is not a good tower. It will flex and will possibly crack where the sides join the top. the crack can be fixed and is not a deal breaker, just be aware of it.

Kenneth, look at the back of that boat!! In the picture it looks to me like it has been sitting in the sun way too long! The upholstery also looks like it was replaced with a cheap fix. Do some digging, something tells me that boat has been outside, uncovered for way too long & they are trying to unload it on some poor sap.

Looks like it had a snap cover. It sat outside covered from the looks of the upholstery, but the snaps don't cover the transom.
