I recently picked up a 2003 Tige 24v in excellent condition. Took it out for the second time yesterday, and I noticed that when running with ballast and with only 3 people in the boat it works pretty hard to get up and moving. Im thinking I need to re-prop for the weight? What would be the ideal prop for this.

Engine is a 5.7 L, Ballast around 1500 pounds in the rear.

Currently without ballast it takes around 10-12 seconds to get up to top speed ( around 34-37mph).

My main use is for wakeboarding and surfing with the occasional tubing, just trying to get the details worked out on this beast, any recommendations would be fantastic!

Check out ACME Marine's website, on the Contact Us page they have a form where you fill in information about your boat, engine, weight, etc. and can recommend one based on those parameters. Also, see if you can find out what people at your lake(s) are using and what works for them.

Answer me this:

Blue or black v-drive?

Arizona, we are at 1660.
Current prop is a 13.5 x 17.5 L

If you are limited to 13.5" diameter the Acme 1579 is one of the best props out there. Lots of low end pull with a loaded down boat. Your top speed will only be around 37 mph though.
