Bought a Moomba Mobius LSV 06' What are some people running for ballast. It has 400 mid and 2x 275 in the rear. I have a 150 fat sack I will just leave under the play pen and a waterbed tube under the bow. So as it sits I will have 300-350 up front, plus factory ballast. I was thinking of putting 400's in the v-drive. Let me know what you all think.

Or you could go with the dual 400's

Not sure if you can fit the 750's or not but I think you can? Im not able to fit them or id go that rout for sure. Nice boat btw!!!

Thanks...I am stoked, I went from a 95 MB direct drive. No more filling sacks and freaking the wife out because the boat is to low in the water. I was also wondering if anyone knows about putting wheels on the skid plate. I drug the back going up my driveway.

Last year in my LSV we ran 2 750's in the back, the stock front bag in the locker, and the two rear stock bags in the walkway and bow. It was around 2700lbs. It was a lot better with even more weight up front, so I would suggest 2x750 for the rear, stock front in the locker, one stock rear in the walkway, and get a 1000lb triangle for the bow. The wake will be enormous, but you will need to run about 24mph with the plate about 75% down.

I have an 06 LSV. The rear locker sacs have been replaced with Fly high 750s.. They fit perfect.

I wonder if the rear lockers are the same size on my 06 outback V?? My lockers are 48 1/2 long and the 750's say they're 50 long? If they would fit id be all over that.

No, the outback V would be the same as an 05 Mobius LSV, and thus be smaller. The 750's might fit, but it is not the same hull.

Anybody got an opinion of how to put wheels on the back of the boat by the skid plate?

ERic,
Check with Boatmate. I have 06 LSV and seems like there are tabs on the back for that. I have seen them on an XStar trailer. Check with RV parts store if Boatmate can't help..

Check with a trailer shop or RV place- they can weld them in for you. Bolt-ons won't work- too much weight

Also If anyone has upgraded the ballast and has some used 400lb bags I would be interested in buying them....
