One thing that threw me a time or two was changing riders. For example, losing Philip Soven early in the season to injury forced me to drop him from my team but I could only add one new rider, as per the rules. That really limited my selection because obviously I would want to find someone very close to the same salary as Philip. I think I already had the closest guys. Similar situation occurred when Dallas went down. What would have been nice would have been to be able to drop more than one rider at a time and then pick up the same number. I could have dropped Philip and a low salaried rider that wasn't performing well for me and picked up two "medium" riders (let's say). Instead, it was always a one at a time transaction. Conversely, there were times I would have gladly dropped 3 or 4 riders on my team to pick up someone like a Danny Harf, filling in the rest of the team with lower end riders. Couldn't do it because the only way for me to do so was to drop another high end rider to free up enough dollars to get Danny. I found that frustrating. Of course, we were all playing by the same rules so it was just a matter of doing the best you could under the circumstances, but I found that part very frustrating. On the plus side, I found the tournament very fun and am looking forward to next year! One thing that Yahoo used to do was have both free and pay leagues. The free leagues could win small prizes but the pay leagues could win much nicer prizes. I thought that was a great way to get potential fantasy players introduced to the leagues and eventually into the pay leagues.
